Besides devs if they have some people helping them they have to pay them. This is baiscally what ruined WoM in the first place. Released to early because vetexgames was just to poor to keep paying up. And we don’t want that happening to AO
ao is paid access for those who wish to support vetex while getting to play ao early, he has a team of testers for bug reporting
I assure you that is not what’s happening here, it just that what you’re saying sounds ridiculous.
I mean think about the way ‘beta testing’ is being treated for this game.
If the game doesn’t release before Christmas this year (I think do correct me if I’m wrong) then the game releases in paid access so people don’t have to wait anymore.
That’s literally just early access, in my honest opinion, if the game is even half what it sets out to be it should stay paid access.
Eh, I think it’s more so that people didn’t realize that I wasn’t directly attacking Vetex even though I clarified that this wasn’t the case from the first comment in which I mentioned the point being contested. That’s most likely the reason why people stopped replying as much when I started clarifying.
From my experience, if I had placed a great looming watermark on every comment clarifying that I wasn’t attacking Vetex and I was talking about the game industry in general, very little people would have attacked. This was standard forum behavior when I was here about a year ago, and it appears to still be standard forum behaviour now. People here get outraged really easily.
Fair enough. Calling something beta testing does imply some things though.
personally I never thought you was attacking vetex, I just thought (and still do) that you were really misunderstanding what was happening with that comparison you made.
nothin against you, I just greatly dislike misinformation and misunderstandings if I can do anything about it… that’s not to say I haven’t made mistakes and maybe I just did, somebody else will certainly be here to tell me if I did.
