Chaos was attracted by the explosion Durza made when he died.
The key thing here? Magic pollution.
Source: Lore document.
The Dark Seas are just the seas that were nuked by Durza
Battle between Durza and Theos killed 80% of civilization and polluted biggest part of the world.
The Dark Sea Epicenter is probably the place where Durza and Theos fought.
Somewhere in game I believe there is an NPC that describes the Dark Seas as moving. It might be at the Sailor’s Lodge or Ravenna. So presumably yeah, this would make sense for the Dark Seas, with Chaos being attracted/present with the magic pollution (and by proxy inflicting insanity) at varying levels. Likely warping the properties of the area hence the “moving” Dark Seas.
This would also mean as we get deeper into the Dark Seas we are approaching the “ground zero” of sorts for Durza’s desperate attack.
i did some research and found that the color of calvus’ transformation is a color called june bud and in order to recreate it you need to mix lemon yellow and ultramarine blue
if someone could help my research with a picture of the explosion after calvus’ pillar, i would be grateful
Proofs are required.
I told you where to look, I’ll have to go check those areas out later myself but I can’t right now. (Sailor’s Lodge is more likely, I might also check out Shell’s Island)
Going to look around to see if I have a screenshot on a discord
this good?
All Arcane Odyssey Boss Solo, Guns Only - YouTube 14:35 for video of explosion, might be more useful
Didn’t find anything on the discord but I found this screenshot of my future fire/phoenix/sun mage. (glass user is accidentally proving the shards)
thank you
HOLY CRAP THAT GOES HARD
It’d be better if I had the muscles gamepass but that’s for the later seas.
It’s the apocalypse bringer right?
Chaos is red
My theory is that Chaos was attracted after the Winterveil extermination.
Oh yeah the negative thoughts part of the lore right
Evil thoughts here would be revenge related or something
Some info that could help yall:
- Rackham’s journal confirms that Chaos is black and teal, and that it was Chaos that destroyed Akursius Keep (The journal directly says it’s chaos and what color it is, makes sense he would be here since the keep was built atop a genocide, literally manifests in negative thoughts throughout the book).
- Nero’s curse is mostly teal with a bit of black, as can be seen by his yellow attacks turning slightly blue (You can use a color mixer to tell this) and some attack visuals. When it appears directly like this in attacks, it has high knockback
- The death curse is black with some teal, as can be seen during the Eternal Mines escape cutscene.
Nero’s curse has already been leaked but I’ll be respectful enough to not just say it so publicly
Have one of us the the thread mentioned it already?
