At a person who’s still on episode 170, it didn’t hurt for me to watch episode 1071 and my holy god that shit was worth it.
The animation is a solid 9 or 10/10, I love the style of what’s going on and when you get to the half point I started having the most major goosebumps, really loved how the animators added in looney toon/cartoony like physics and movement they gave to Kaido and Luffy which really made it such an entertaining thing to watch. Love the design for his final gear and what it resembles, his attacks and moves felt acceptable to watch and it just isn’t “overpowered”, this type of overpowered for me was like done right which I barely seen the word “overpowered” done right. Ridiculous power though.
However, I sadly can’t rate this episode to the max 10/10 as it did take half the episode for the realest shit to begin but I’ll prolly understand it once I’ve actually got to Wano arc… Still great though and I am really wanting to see the next episode, heard it’s gonna be directed by Megumi

honestly it’s a nice change of pace having an anime power up that’s goofy and carefree as opposed to the multitude of hardcore, serious ones. the animation was also really great but I agree that it did take a bit long to get to the really good stuff (granted that’s the OP anime to a T).
