What was Arcane Adventures like?

PEOPLE WHO PLAYED ARCANE ADVENTURES, I need you guys to tell me about your experiences playing Arcane Adventures. Don’t just tell me about lore, tell me about what it was like playing it, what interactions with the other players were like, any memories you have of it. And please, give me as much information as you can. I need all the details I can get. Tell me in depth about YOUR experiences playing that game. (Also, please tell me about what the mystery around Torren was like, and about the holiday events).

All I really remember is that grinding for stats sucked

i was 9 years old when i played and the most i remember is stealing a kill on theos for third trial & grinding stats when they got changed to being increased by usage

it was solid though

If I would say, it’s probably the almost the same feeling as newer people that just got onto arcane odyssey, just with extra fun since (mostly) we were kids who doesnt have lots of responsibilities and barely has any worries yet.

A few of my first friends on roblox were made in AA, either by them chilling along with me while I fish on savaria, or when I was a newbie and just boarded someone’s ship to doom island (that ship somehow got flung onto a statue that’s above the island). His ship was named “Dying Seagull”, honestly it’s a core memory for me cause it was probably my first interaction with another player on roblox, even my AO ship was named after that as a homage.

I’m sure most AA players would have almost the experience when playing it, especially during the story quests.
All those times spamming ult in oblitesco to get the job done, carrying/or getting carried to fight theos (or maybe soloing him, i suck back then), getting jumped by kraken when you casually sail around, or when you finally get that cool ass theos arm and going back to savaria just to flex your drip on freshies.

The soundtracks are also very memorable albeit not being an OST since they’re mostly taken from zelda, they really made the world feel more immersive imo (even better than AO), I even used to put borealis shipwreck’s music when trying to sleep back then

I’m not sure what to say anymore so this is all ig, i hope it helps (p sure some will just cringe at this LOL)

I was not there for it. I wish I was, but I was a dumb kid busy with RP games, and I still am dumb but as an adult.

No matter. I would assume it’s kind of like going into AR totally blind these days, except you have nothing to compare it against and every other game is more primitive than this or is an FPS. It also features even worse quest design than in the remake which you later forgive through rose-tinted glasses.

All I know is that for a kid/person who was there to experience it, the game must’ve been awesome.

It was really laggy for me so I quit before completing the first quest

simple but effective ahh

This is what i remember about AA

  • There are 2 stat, ‘strength and magic’ which can be upgrade by keep spamming a move
  • All of ‘Grab moves’ are very cool and i wish we still have them in AO
  • The moment i got flung to the sky by Ramses
  • Verdies is literally Lord Elius of AA, bro can drinks potion
  • Ship battle is kinda bad and pointless compare to AO
  • Cool magic weapon
  • Second Mind’s Awakening quests are fucking painful, all of them, especially theos who keeps falling into water and die but quest doesn’t count that as defeat so you have to fight him again
  • There’s a beggar ask us to beat up alalean captain because they are racist
  • Captain Arsen got beat up after grab someone with ‘magic fist’
  • I followed a ghost ship only to found nothing
  • Sunrise ravine BGM

gasp, me too!

Yeah I totally could have played it if I ever wanted to.

As two other people said, “I was a dumb kid who was busy with RP games”. Honestly i only remember trying out the game one time because of either a danTDM video or one by thinknoodles but I dropped it soon after due to it being laggy on my old first computer. (This crappy acer laptop that had maybe 2/4GB ram and 32GB storage)

my 2018 pc couldn’t run that game without me chanting black magic on it

Did you at least get that sweet Generation 3?

Wait DANTDM MADE AN AA VIDEO?
He was my dang hero as a kid, I would have 100% been around for that video, and I just never bothered to play it!!! >:(

Unfortunately I only ever played it after it broke, since I think I joined roblox around the time that it was broken.

Laggy, buggy, and it had a really stupid grinding system.

I remember bladed weapons sucking and magic basically being a blast-fest.

it was really fun

I played it but got stuck on the shadow magic guy who’s name I forgot.

I spent all of my time fighting the crazy wizards with different magics. I eventually settled on Light Magic.

I got my sister to beat him for me and she kept begging to play it with me.

Me, my sister, and my cousin were the goats (He used Lightning, she used Fire, and I used Light)

Then it got shutdown some years later.

(I was the only one who immigrated to WOM when it came out)

Genocide of oblitesco

Loved playing it with my siblings, it was fun despite the PVPers that attack you for minding your own business. Kept getting heart attacks from the Kraken then I’m on my sinking boat going ‘guess I’ll die’

Young me liked it a lot, it was a great game… Sadly I never made it past the 1st sea, I was too dumb and liked walking/sailing around mostly.

I used to reset my file a lot, testing out the magics, but I use my AA file guy in my drawings

Game was interesting to me because there weren’t stat builds per se but you could simply train up all your stats by using magic / strength. I used to make a billion accounts and just spam E on basic fighting because it’d level you up the fastest (using moves gave exp :exploding_head: ) and i’d just slap all the bosses in the first sea as lvl 100.

Didn’t pvp all that much and if I did it was usually me spamming grabs or initiating a clash. The one time I ever had a small and pitiful bounty some guy chased me to the end of the planet so I don’t have fond memories of being a villain

Spent most my time in the latter half of the game’s lifespan by just fishing for sunken champion for hours every day and training my english by talking with any random person I can find on Dawn’s Refuge. And yes I only fished there because whenever I dropped from Cerulea I’d get wrecked by pirates because I was too young to understand ship combat.

As for the map it was cool and you had a lot of random islands you passed through between point A and B, also most had some kind of meaning or thing to do (keyword most). Most annoying thing was sailing at night because no map and I was too stupid to use the compass so I always got lost and sailed into infinity. Sailing was a hassle to me in the end and I didn’t really like it, something I still hate about AO.

Lastly from what I remember, the community was relatively the same in terms of toxicity, maybe it was slightly less toxic but I’m not sure since it’s been too long and I don’t want to lie by slapping on a nostalgia filter. Used to get ganked just by being in AG despite never hunting people. Not fun.
