What was your favorite part of WoM?

its coming back

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
IT’S TIME TO COMMIT GENOCIDE!!!
(yay)

The Grand Navy sentences you to a trial by combat with King Nero.

bet.

Oh my gosh, I just remembered one of my favorite experiences with WoM2.

Vetex geniusly programmed it so that if you take a criminal NPC like Minotaur into a town, the Magic Council and Magius News will respond in the same way that they would to a player.

guys what’s one way to make AO difficult(aside from no damage I’m not skilled enough to do that, plus it’s practically impossible)

no dashing only block and parry (World of Magic gameplay)

is that really it?
I was expecting smth like fighting a lvl 260 metal mage with no armor but that’ll do

you could also do armorless and 0 stat points

or permadeath…

The time i fought King David and got him to half health

Vetex is cooking bro
This why he becoming a writer

Oh my god, this man is going to try to write a book…

Dont diss on his skills
I cant wait for the villain to say “Welcome to evil isle, I am the dark evil boss”

“heh… i love killing am i right fellow murder wizard???”
(insert the obligatory vetex, “HAHAHAHHAHAHA”)

riverville

armorless and no stats I can do
perma death might be difficult(and besides I’d rather not have the walmart deepwoken experience)

I actually agree with you 100%. The Nimbus Sea is most definitely the Third Sea-equivalent, and all Warring Seas will be equivalent to two Seven Seas. Just look how many islands Bronze has and count how many AA had it before it broke. Bronze has more than three AA seas combined (although third was unfinished so more like two). Not to mention it took until the end of the Second Sea to get our second magic, but it happens at the end of the Bronze Sea in AO.

Sky islands didn’t exist until the Fracturing. The intense magic pollution is what made clouds dense enough to hold islands. So yeah, PK would have no idea about them.

Angel was a boss concept that Vetex no longer considers canon. It would’ve been nothing like AR. Cerulea wasn’t even supposed to be a part of Arcane Adventures’ main storyline, as shown here:

AR changed it to say Cerulea instead of Mainland.

The obsession with “feats” you see online nowadays is really annoying. Sometimes I agree that you can’t trust what the creator says and should instead look at the facts within the story itself. I support death of the author. But it’s not always applicable, and this is one of those cases.

We know how the PK’s story ends, we don’t know any details of the AOMC. But we do have confirmation that the AOMC will be stronger than the PK, from both Tech and Vetex, so this definitely isn’t a case of the two creators having different ideas of the lore. We may not know what feats the AOMC will have to grant them that status, but we have NOTHING indicating that it isn’t possible, especially since AO will deal with the strongest and most ancient threat, far beyond the likes of Durza and Undead Zeus.

You could say this is “just WoG” but I could make the same case for the PK’s feats. We don’t know the specifics of how they beat Durza and Zeus, nor did we ever get to see it happen, it’s just dumped in a lore doc, which I would compare to discord statements since they’re both outside media that’s heavily subject to change. The statement of AOMC surpassing PK is just as valid as any of the PK’s “feats.”

I am gonna KILL ARCANE REBORN for making this common belief.

Tech confirmed that the player was never going to fight Undead Prometheus in AA. They would get stomped no matter how much Theos weakened him. I mean come on, it’s a god and the giver of magic :skull:

Plus, when has dealing significant damage to someone EVER impaired their ability to fight back? If anything, the opposite is shown. AO bosses only enter their next phases after you’ve beaten them up a lot. Acheron on his deathbed still wholly annihilated three seas and caused a weather calamity that stretched all the way to the other side of the world, and this is with the new lore where he was weakened after the Fracturing. Heck, the Fracturing itself is proof against this! Durza wiped out 80% of life after losing his leg in a day-long battle and you still buy injury impairing magic usage? That’s just a blatant contradiction in AR lore used to force the player fighting Prometheus into the narrative without breaking powerscaling. Being close to death obviously doesn’t make your attacks weaker, so PK would get floored by Prometheus in every single circumstance. It’s the pressure of being close to death that puts you at your strongest, and this is consistent across all of Arcane from what I can remember.

Theos beat Undead Prometheus entirely on his own, and the player would only arrive to find Theos dying after the fight, speaking to him in his last moments. I’m pretty sure it’s said exactly like this on the lore doc. Something as big as the PK helping fight an undead god would be mentioned. AR just changed things to give more gameplay.

Sorry if this was harsh, it’s not directed at you specifically, I’m just frustrated seeing so many people holding this belief that totally shatters powerscaling and undermines Theos.

Arcane Adventure’s story is bare bones on itself, + with it’s lore being deprioritised for AO, 90% of the time when someone speaks on AA, it’s using the Revised AR or AA webcomic lore

Okay? Feats are required, if someone is so strong, then SHOW me their strength.

the issue with this is that the biggest feat we’ve seen of the AO mc so far is killing King Calvus and we haven’t had any more story to give us any more

this whole “AO mc vs peacekeeper” thing is silly because we can’t even see the AO mc’s actual strength nor have we had the time to see it so far. Besides, I didn’t see it but according to spectre’s comment, both tech and vetex confirmed that (as of right now) the AO mc is gonna be stronger than the peacekeeper by the end of the story

unless you wanna compare current AO mc to current peacekeeper but i dont know why youd wanna do that
