Well actually it depends on what your definition of colour is.
White you could say is a color because it is literally all colours.
Black you could say is a tint or a colour because you combine all pigments to make black.

i don’t know, it just feels like it has less force behind it. yellow reminds me annihilating buildings and teal paralyzing enemies and frying them. Purple just feels different.

Its really just what color you like. I like blue because of thunderstorms. Yellow lightning is rare, but interesting. Purple is common in heavy thunderstorms and are strong magnificent arcs of plasma. They should add red lightning since heat lightning is a thing.
Red lightning looks too OP for a starter magic, and it’s already a thing
