It never ended it was simply forgotten
I used to try to make characters that looked like me. But not all games have such good character customization that you can make one that looks like you. So I just make the character look good.

Never. Whenever I make a custom character in a game, I already imagine a story based on them and them alone. I wouldn’t know how to do this for me.
