Its a double standard. I’ve never stared at someone, not once if they were shirtless or wearing a sports bra. I personally don’t care enough. I don’t want to see that, I imagine it sucks to feel those eyes on you.
I believe that wearing no top in public is weird. It’s only not accepted because perverted old men think its weird, when my mother would breastfeed me in public. Because like… she had a blanket. It doesn’t matter to me either way for someone to be topless. I say either let anyone go topless or let no one be.

I believe that it is unacceptable in general, personally, though to some this isn’t the case for some reason. The reason why this standard exists is because people consider boobs to be more sexual. Also possibly because men have been in charge of society for multiple millennia, so of course this standard is held only to women (also because gay people don’t seem to matter, any and all sexualization of women is seen as “normal” enough (see literally any gacha game that isn’t Limbus), while if the same is done to men, it feels gay)
