every day the arcane odyssey forums continue to surprise me with their discussions
my brief thoughts (i might add more later) regard cultural normalization of nudity among different societies. for example, consider nudity in athletics in greek and roman civilizations being commonplace

people are going to have different takes on the idea, but ultimately the collective society determines the norm indirectly. as for our current place and time, i don’t want to make hasty claims, but initial thought attributes it to the sexualization of women and general misogyny, though i’d need to dig a little deeper—i’d also consider the primal/animalistic nature of sexuality based in the goal of reproducing a species (among about any non-asexual species, not just human) but then you’d also want to consider the requirement of clothing at all (other than for physical reasons such as keeping warm or protecting your feet)
