I think this would be highly beneficial for the PvP scene, since there would be no more spawn ganking.
This alone could’ve somewhat fixed the game’s PvP problem if the PvP toggle wasn’t added.
Like, actually having to go somewhere to target people instead of just spawn camping Sameria? Sounds 400% more engaging bro.
No the lowest is close to 2 mill. i have almost 1 mill and i m not close to leader board. gaining renown is super easy due to the fleet system with plunder and patrol
There has literally never been a benefit to getting renown besides having a cooler title and a larger number next to your name. At most, you can now buy more cosmetics and reagents / have better syndicate armor.
The only goal of having renown is to simply have the coolest title because its exclusive to “I can ensure I don’t die more than everybody else”— it’d be kinda silly if the mechanics around that ideology had a bunch of features making it hard to test, such as being able to never be in a position to be fought.
im saying, why are we making high renown worse, its not what “i signed for” im just saying, HAVING HIGH RENOWN is annoying, ajnd considering its suppose to be a “good thing” to get more renown, there seems to be a lot of bad parts that come along with all the barely anything you get as a reward
I mean, just to put it in perspective: agility was removed partly because the most annoying part of gaining renown was people keeping theirs by running away from every battle.
Being able to set spawns at high renowns is basically the ultimate running tool, of course it’d be disabled. That’d defeat a portion of the reason Agility was removed (I’m aware there are other parts) if “universal running ability that at best, sets you equal distance as server swapping normally would; and at worst, puts you on the other side of the sea from your hunting target” was allowable.
It’s keeping renown consistent.
Also high renown isn’t really a good or bad thing— you just gain it for doing chores in the game, it does almost nothing else aside from becoming a larger number, and give you vanity. If you don’t want the number to get bigger, limit it to 250k; you’re not missing out on anything else.
