Why are we nerfing high renown

why shouldnt i be able to choose where i spawn just because i have high renown, what so bounty hunters can target me the moment i join?, is that it? i mean i see no reason for this to be the case, i mean atp, high renown is just punishing yourself, i dont see the purpose of this, maybe im missing something, but to me it just seems like a bad idea to limit something like spawning where you want thats been asked for so long to only people under 500k

High renown is basically a battle royale. High renown guys are expected to fight and defend their renown. So no set spawns and witch hunting high renowns is legalized (from what I remember, might check the rules later)

Does this apply to those who have PVP turned off? What’s considered high renown?

stuck under 300k, and if under 250k can’t go above it

ppl at 500k+ can’t set spawn

I’ve said it in another topic but I suspect it was for the sake of the Renown Leaderboard

The way it currently is, if you’re hunting a leaderboard player and they hop to another server then you can just hop with them and hunt them there, they essentially won’t be able to shake you without either actually fighting you or straight up quitting

If they could spawn anywhere they like then once they hop they’re off the hook, you could follow them into the new server but they could now be literally anywhere on the map, likely with a safe distance between you and them as well as some some buffer time before the Bounty Board reveals their location (probably “Sailing the Bronze Sea”)

I definitely wish they solved it some other way (despite not having a single slot with pvp enabled) but that’s my best guess towards the reasoning

why are you surprised that high renown players being witch-hunted is a feature when the leaderboard is based around hunting other high renown players and getting onto it usually is based on that too :sob:
