“i’m doing something to make their game less enjoyable, but why are they annoyed about it?” people don’t just accept things like that. having that mindset though is probably healthier in the end for them, being able to just move on after a gank on them succeeds, i agree with that; dwelling on things for too long can be bad for you mentally. this doesn’t mean to not see it as an issue and just let it happen to you though, it just means to not let it affect you too much if it inevitably does, so people can still be a bit annoyed about it and not want it to happen
because you are actively making their experience unfun. on the other hand, doing something against this is not considered toxic because it is the other person who started conflict and therefore it is just to retaliate in some form. you can think of it as similar to self defence laws in real life (which, i’m not saying this is on the same level as, but it is the same line of logic)

gankers are not “toxic” it’s part of the game. Everywhere in the game is dangerous as hell. You live in a war torn world in Arcane Odyssey. It’s only toxic when they start calling you monkey and stuff, not when they play the game so the poster is technically correct. If you don’t like getting interrupted doing nothing, then you don’t have to ruin the word toxic. Just say that you don’t like being interrupted so much which I can understand
the post’s title started out as “why do pve’rs complain about toxic pvpers” or something like that, it was a generalization when i posted that message.
is this another “its a pirate game so you can’t complain if we kill you and steal your shit” type argument?
this is also not really related to the issue of ganking and toxicity in forced pvp, sounds like you’re just trying to make excuses to me.
the thing is, as i stated in the post you are replying to, gankers tend to be more toxic than not.
9 times out of 10 gankers interrupt me while i am doing charts, pvp, or story
ill reiterate that it’d be generalizing if i said all. the target demographic applies to you guessed it, the pvers that complain about toxicity
even if it isnt lumping everyone into the same category it is still lumping people into the same category. also “Why do PvE players whine about “toxicity” from pvpers?” was really fucking condescending, why would you phrase it like that

On the other side, how about those PvE players who would intentionally annoy people doing a genuine and friendly 1s? For instance, hitting them with musket/beam/20 ultimate art blast while they are engrossed mid-fight?
Not all PvPer’s are toxic, and not all PvEr’s are the victim. It is not good to generalize people, oops.

That is to be expected, as I said, just because a player that belongs to a certain demographic exhibits a behaviour, it does not follow that all player in that demographic behaves in the same way.
But, I assure you, you would not want to encounter a PvE player like this. Especially when agility was still active.
The same goes for PvPer. However, the reason most PvPer we meet at public servers are “toxic” is because genuine PvPer’s are mostly stucked in Elysium. Again, it does not mean that all PvPer’s are toxic.
lmfao i met someone like this but it wasn’t during a 1v1. all i was doing was looking at marketplace. This bloke starts shooting me with random stuff, i looked at his player profile and he seemed new so i just told him to stop hitting me. He starts to hit me even more and i just blasted him from the nimbus sea to narnia.
He tried getting away but i guess he forgot what dashing was.
