phoenix magic is based on the mythical bird of the same name which is known for reviving from its ashes when it dies, hence the healing

Light magic is just magic that’s bright and quick, It has no healing properties and a light magic that has healing properties is based off a fantasy trope.
Phoenix magic can heal because it’s based on the mythological creature phoenix which is a bird that can be reborn after death, and probably the reason why it’s flames can heal the user.

how come phoenix magic users who use the magic themed around the mythological creature that can be reborn after it dies, cant rebirth or whatever
because that’s too powerful and also the lazurus curse, instead they just get healing
thematically it makes more sense
phoenixes dont have the ability to “heal” typically they kinda just rebirth after dying. which is kind of healing in a sense but thats a vague connection
same with light magic, but the connection is more obvious
(light magic isn’t themed after rebirth I just mean its also vaguely healing)
well rebirth is kinda just the ultimate heal, but since that’s too powerful i think it’s fair to say fire that can heal is good enough to be called phoenix

what if you have the phoenix curse? you are the curse, so arent you a phoenix (in a sense)
Theoretically having a “Phoenix Magic Curse” would grant you probably rebirth and regeneration/healing so yes, since curses are the true forms of magic.
Or if rebirth doesn’t come in hand, you’d just have a boosted regeneration/healing that is far more superior than the magic variant of phoenix magic, because it’s a magic curse, not a “phoenix curse” in a literal sense.
light being connected to healing depends on whether you relate light with holiness or just regular light, since magic was given to people by the gods they probably just associated it with regular light

i kinda hope its not an ancient magic, bc of the potential combinations like, I would love “dragon magic” or something where its a warlock magic, like a magic plus a fighting style, and you get dragons breath, but you can also grow dragon wings

that or aether phoenix, to focus more on the healing n good utility stuff I guess
if you wanna focus more on the healing why not get healing magic
