Phoenixes come back from the dead. That’s kind of “their thing.” That whole “rise from the ashes” shit comes from the myth of the Phoenix.
Light comes from the big bang so it kills stuff. Yeah holy light but unlike literally every instance of phoenixes which are supposed to come back to life we have all sorts of light like:
- the light at the end of the tunnel
- light from the sun
- flashbangs
- cancer causing rays
- blinding hi beams from people who need their licence revoked
