Why does Neviro have Darkness, narratively speaking?

maybe don’t bring religion into this

imagine if this is why stock and other wikians are hated on(couldn’t be me fr)

its to represent how hes always going to stay in the dark, where a fraud who deserves no respect should be

Well winter is in a literal sense the darkest time of the year.

I don’t think Neviro is really part of the group anyways. To me at least he seems more like a character that will be reoccurring, but isn’t really in the group. After he only really joins us for the raid on the Castille and hangs out a little bit afterwards before leaving. Because of that I don’t think he really needs an ability that makes him stand out among the group.

That said there’s also the fact that above all he’s a weapon user and I doubt that will go away even when he learns how to use his curse inheritance better. Morden is very much not that so it’s not like Neviro’s abilities will be difficult to distinguish between them anyways.

Should curse inheritance be on the same level as magic, or a little stronger I don’t think Neviro will have problems keeping up. I don’t necessarily think he needs to have a different power or the same strength as Morden though either. Batman still gets to be in the Justice league even though Superman power wise is better in every way. This does bring me to my next point that Neviro probably will have something else to bring to the table besides his own powers.

I’m like 99% certain that when Neviro comes back it’ll be with an army. Whether that’ll be the escaped Tiberians, some large portion of Ravenna somehow, or something else I dunno, but it’s pretty clear to me at least that that’s where his story is going. Him being both the last heir of a destroyed kingdom as well as trying to go back to Ravenna to keep it from imploding seem to imply this.

Besides that an army that would be willing the follow the mc beyond the Sameria-Keraxe war is definitely something the MC could use. Sameria’s army will not only mostly likely be almost entirely spent by the end of Nimbus, but the Empress probably wouldn’t lend them to a conflict she isn’t a part of. Neviro is not only more likely to continue helping cause he’s closer with the MC, but also because he’s already come into direct conflict with members of the order. Even if Skyhall goes down the route of the MC using their heritage to get them to do what they want Skyhall wouldn’t have the navy needed for a lot of stuff. Neviro should he actually come back with an army, more than likely will.

This is kinda why I don’t think he’ll be part of the group, cause he’ll be more managing his own army and people rather than joining us on our own boat or working with us directly most of the time. But if you’d still consider him consistently helping us with an army as him being part of the group I wouldn’t particularly disagree.

Anyways yeah that’s all why I’m not too concerned about Neviro having darkness curse inheritance. Him fighting with weapons already makes him distinct from Morden in my eyes, and I’m almost completely certain that he’ll bring more numbers to the table alongside his own power anyways.

i hope neviro learns magic late just like enizor and unleashs his inherited darkness curse

I feel like it’s supposed to be trope inversion

pun?? just me huh

That was completely unintentional

didnt read whole discussion but
neviro not gonna get darkness, he gotta be worlds strongest spearman not a curse merchant like morden (jk morden aint that much of a curse merchant)

but actually, im just really confused
narratively theres 2 options, strongest spearman or darkness user but that would mean two edgy-magic users

Neviro probably won’t get the darkness curse itself, but he does have actual darkness curse inheritance like it says in his journal. It doesn’t seem like he can use it very well yet though.

yes, but im saying narrative wise based on his journal, hes either gonna obtain darkness inheritance or become worlds greatest spearman
or hes just gonna become conj lol

vetex said that curse fragments are just a power boost when used so i assume that he’s gonna become a powerful spearman with the curse inheritance

the word fraud has lost all meaning in the powerscaling community

He’s… not putting forward “fighter”

Powerscalers when a dude with a rusty spear can’t beat a guy with a spear, a lost magic, a magical fs, a curse inheritance, and years of training:
