Why is hades so evil in lore?

Yeah, dirt doesn’t go to hell.

i think the “cursed earth” isnt normal dirt thats cursed, its dirt from the underworld.

Imagine ruling the underworld, and your god power is to make more land in your world.

Why doesn’t Hades just crush us with the earth roof when we try to fight him? is he stupid?

his god power is control over the underworld. His ELEMENT is underworld dirt. Poseidons domain is the sea, but his element is water.

That would be such a cool motive for Hades. This is like “Theos in the Arcane Adventures Webcomic” level of quality.

bro’s got netherrack powers :sob:

Never. There is NO character who can reach the “Morockversal” feat.

To ever DREAM of beating Morock, you must first reach this feat, or else any ability or amount of strength will be futile since it won’t damage him.

Can morock beat morock?

Nah, Morock would win.

It’s official, morock loses to morock.

Y’all are not ready for this guy smh:

Morock vs wind mage sending him directly into the ocean:

Nice

i killed his uncle back in the cursebeard war :smoking:

he don’t have an uncle.

he only has asses to kick.

and that includes morock.

So I’ve seen this Morock solos everything debate floating around the forums, and I’ve decided to throw in my two cents.

Warning unmarked spoilers for Brandon Sanderson's The Stormlight Archive ahead.

In fiction there is a type of character that could absolutely solo Morock. Any Knight Radiant from The Stormlight Archive by author Brandon Sanderson that’s of the fourth or fifth ideal would destroy Morock.

To explain, Knight Radiants are individuals who have bonded to beings of sentient investiture (Investiture: the source of energy for all magical powers in the Cosmere.) known as spren. This allows them utilize Stormlight a form of concentrated investiture that gathers in gem stones during High Storm (a meteorological feature on the planet Roshar where these Radiants are from.) to perform the arcane art of Surgebinding.

However in this case, it’s not the Surgebinding that will be the direct cause of Morock’s downfall. Instead it will be the icons of the Knights Radiant, the Shardblade and Shardplate. Both items are physical manifestions of spren, in the case of the blade it’s the radiant’s bonded spren in thr case of plate it’s lower spren related to the bonded spren.

Both blade and plate share several qualities that make them particularly effective against Morock. I shall discuss the plate first.

Shardplate is known first and foremost for being indestructible, while deadplate is able to be cracked it can be repaired quickly with infused gemstones. Living Shardplate seems to be truly indestructible, barring any use of anti-investiture tones or metals such as aluminum. However though we don’t yet know it’s interactions with other god metals, I would still think it would at least resist them. Thus if we think of Morock as using powers from a god, at the very least Shardplate could resist it long enough for the Radiant to use its weapon.

The Shardblade much like plate is seemingly indestructible again barring any anti-investiture. It’s main quality is that unlike conventional weaponry, a Shardblade attacks the soul. This is a serious problem for Morock as with how powerful the curse is all he is is effectively spirit energy glued to magic. So a single swipe through the spine, neck, heart, or head would rend his soul assunder. Scattering what little spiritual essence remained in his body, killing him as surely as contaminated sea-water.

Finally another trick the Knights Radiant has on their side, is Stormlight itself. You Investiture or certain types at least, when metabolized by the body tends to heal the body back to its ideal self based on the perception of the user’s identity. So for example if you lost an arm, but still thought of yourself as the you before you lost it Stormlight will regrow the arm.

This power has been shown to heal people from everything from explosions to even being shot in the head. So even if Morock burnt through the armor he would have to contend with the KR’s healing factor.

Overall a Knights Radiant is perfectly equipped to deal with Morock Creed, even when using his Prometheus Flame Curse.

Edit 1: before anyone says something about Morock just flying out of range. Two of the Radiant orders can fly and there are several mechanical ways of achieved personal flight that exist on Roshar itself and several more on other planets in the Cosmere.

can they solo the asskicker though?

(spoilers: no)

can i get a tldr

TL;DR: they have weird metal or something and they’re fast.
