I remember fighting styles from AA and I know they are going to be added for AO. My question is will they have ways to get in close? I came up with the idea of a move that is universal for all melee weapons and fighting styles where you just charge the person and they have to block it to stop you from punching them. My question is will there ever be a way for fighting styles to actually involve punching the person without catching 7 magic explosions and dying because melee has weak damage? I’m asking because I like to fight up close and in AA there was no way to get close to a person to melee them unless you had radius. They also said you could make your own moves for fighting styles or at least I heard it somewhere, so will those have moves where you auto lock onto the person and force them to fight you up close too?
edit: My idea is to make a move that is universal for melee where you basically do the run up to them thing in Jump Force. It could have a 15 second cool down or something and all it does in stun the person so you can land an m1 combo that may be just like 3 hits and launch them back.
I’m sure they will be, we had mix of ranged, close range and mid ranged fighting styles in AA. I think the only reason why the mid-close ranged ones weren’t as used in PvP was because it was just too risky since your opponent could just press T and rain multiple attacks from above. Hopefully he makes melee more rewarding in the event that you manage to land it.
Well there’s one thing for sure is that it’s better than AA’s fighting styles. Looking at the boss attacks in WoM, it doesn’t require any magic so this could be used as an example of a fighting style. Compare it to the fighting style in AA, i’d say it has indeed improved and would be worth to use.
ayo what? Literally every close range fighting style was op in AA(Except Boxing), Radius Fist’s constant kb, Magic fist, and Impact fist. Boxing was mainly used for its mobility. Cannonball fist isn’t close range.
Pre Grand Reopening Magic fist did insane damage while practically stunning. To put it into perspective, take the damage you have in AR with magic fist and multiply it by 1.8(Assuming strength and magic level are the same and with 0 power, with power the difference becomes much larger) and give it an infinite stun. That was Magic fist.
Lemme get this straight. The 50% shockwave explosion spam fighting style that could literally be hit from a rising tides width away and be spammed. Wasn’t banned but magic fist was…
Dear sweet salty christ. And to think I was stomping people with a bad fighting style
yeah but it wasn’t like how it should have been and also i think only radius was used often for pvp. the only cool other one was impact and you would never get the chance to charge it enough in pvp to use it.
That’s because the magic fist and Impact were banned from tournaments. Boxing was used in tournaments, best mobility thing you could ever use in an arena since I think duel katanas ability was disabled for something at that time in AA and the item itself was also banned anyways.
4 mins to charge, just constantly dash to the opposite corner and spam punches, if they even try closing too much distance, dash forward grab and magic blunderbuss.(Remember you can stop when it’s a decent size projectile at ~3 mins because anything extra is excessive ) Also spamming a wind ult every now and again helps.
deluxe flintlock had a melee move and Im talking about actually beating someone without the use of magic to back you up. There are people in the cannon that don’t use magic and can fight. Also I’m talking about if impact was added to the game it could be like something you could actually use to fight up close and then use the impact fist since it involves punching anyways.
basically I’m asking and talking about a combat that we can use normally instead of magic to fight.
