Will Headless Heads surpass the value of Ancient Magics, Legendary Weapons, etc.?

No cuz legendary weapons, ancient magics etc are end game stuff. Headlesses are practically only valuable because of their rarity and these things will not only be rare but necessary for pvp and pve too. And probably cool af

It will take a while but eventually headless will surpass ancient magic and legendary weapon, especially when guilds start monopolizing them

My estimation is probably around 2-3 years after they are released, as unobtainable items like that will only go up in value

Interesting topic. I did initially think a while ago when getting a headless head that it would carry me into getting death magic, i’ve changed my mind more recently.

Ancient Magics and Legendary weapons are so unfathomably useful, literally everyone will want them, and are also endgame items, along with having an incredibly low drop chance. I think that headless heads will definitely take the L in this value competition… once Ancient Magics and Legendary Weapons come out of course. However;

I do think that it’s possible that headless could have a really increased value, probably just a few left in the economy by the time this comparison can actually happen, and it’s definitely plausible that they could be more valuable in a very long time, since legendary weapon and ancient magic values will decrease over time after their release.

I think as the game develops so will the player base and so will the people without headless heads. Now i really dont think it will surpass value to everyone, of course it wont. Its a cosmetic compared to a crazy rare magic or weapon. Yet even so, i voted it will because i do beleive a headless will trade for one. There are so many collectors in games one will give you your ancient magic for a headless, they will become so increasingly rare how could they not trade for a headless. You just need to find the right collector and they will trade it, but in common trading i dont beleive it will happen, but there will be enough collectors to find your trader

But there are only a few thousand headlesses in the economy. That number will only go down as more headless owners stop playing. I don’t know how many ancient magics and legendary weapons will be obtained, but it will probably be a lot higher than the number of headless heads. Magics and weapons are obviously a lot more useful than accessories, but the value of video game items does not tend to correlate much with how useful that item is.

though it’s possible that their numbers could
drop from dumbasses selling them, there’s already like 2-5k in existence (though this doesn’t account for the stubborn keepers or people who won’t come back to ao) so unless everybody starts selling their headless then i don’t think they’ll really get that rare, plus headless is just a cosmetic and not a very useful endgame thing like legendary weapons and ancient magics which have a functional use

From a traders standpoint I’m surprised you didn’t say yes, the demand for it will always be there. The supply will always be going down because of idiot losing accounts etc.

The ancient magics and legendary weapons will have a similar demand but with a higher supply, since it’s not limited.

After reading all these I replies I change my mind, I do think headless heads (hh) will surpass the values of ancients, legendary weapons, etc… Like many people have said, by the time ancients and legendaries are out, the ratio of players who have headless heads (hh) to players who don’t is going to be a HUGE difference. Not to mention, with all the new gear & accessories coming to AO, players with hh have more ways to make their character look sick. I personally won’t ever trade my original headless, when I get someone else’s I’m gonna save it for ancients and/or lost magics
