If ancient magics and similar things for the other builds are so obnoxiously rare that the unobtainable basically non-existent by the time it releases event item from the first noteworthy event in the game can’t match up.
When they first release they’ll defo be worth more then a headless because of the insanely high demand and lack of supply, but after awhile even if the rarity of a scroll is 1 in 40000 headless will surpass it. cuz theres barely any of them
by the time ancient magics etc are released most if not all headless owners will trade their headlesses for ancient magics scrolls etc since those are end game items because after all thats the goal of 90% of headless owners. When that phase of the game is over headless supply will ofc stay low but headless demand would take a significant drop because only collectors would want it. All the while ancient magic scrolls etc will still have high demand because they will be 100% necessary.
Usefulness often ties into demand. If an item is 100% necessary for pvp and pve then it will likely become the most valuable item in the game since you really cant do without it
I could see headlesses surpassing ancient magics etc at some point but that would take way too long + at that point the game would probably already be dead
demand will drop by a lot when end game items are being released. Headlesses rn are only really valuable because of the prospect of being able to trade them for end game items. When those end game items have been released only collectors will want to trade for those headlesses and we all know that collectors make up a small part of the community. Therefore demand will drop
woj isnt 100% necessary for pvp and pve. You can still do fine without a shield in both (hard vast for pvp for example, and no shield in pve is very doable)
but youre right on that second part
but that only counters your argument really since ancient magics will def have flair to them
you sure? So far ive only really seen people trading for a headless bc it will be their means to end game items.
yup, tho collectors arent a big part of this community lets be real.
thing is theyll be 100% necessary whilst having flair to them. Demand for them will def outshine headless demand until the game starts dying off, which is also when a big part of the community will consist of collectors. So ye ig at some point headlesses will have more value than end game items but at that point the game would be dead anyways
Headless heads might surpass the value, though ancient magics/legendary weapons will always have similar demand, and that demand will likely not let headless heads surpass the value of ancient/legendary stuff.
Idk anything about trading, but I have a feeling headless’ value will never go down due to it forever being unobtainable.
However I really don’t think a cosmetic that has very little use or benefit will be viewed as equal to very powerful endgame items that you’ll likely not only sink countless time into, expend actual ingame resources for (dying over and over, buying lots of ship repairs and upgrades, etc). Headless is more valuable than Sunken Sword I’m pretty sure, but you can get SS at level 50 simply though clicking your screen every few minutes for hours or days. Ancients are over twice as rare as SS and are a lot less simple to get
