No? In AA the Dark Sea doesn’t exist because it has long dissipated into space, while the one in AO exists because AO begins 2 months after wrath of the gods (while the fracture and the beggining of AA happens like 500 years apart)
AA was made in 2016 when vetex was like 16, the lore wasnt even really a thing till now
if AA never broke then it probably would have had been added.
also structures like theos being in the dark sea suggests that before the fracture the world was whole (not being split into sea clusters seperated by the dark sea)
the “wrath of the gods” is just what was dubbed by the people in the war seas since acheron exploding was so violent that the effects had reached the war seas
now yes the dark sea can eventually just dissapate into space but it cant due to something, vetex said its spoilers though so we dont really know why or what it is
honorable mention:
Yeah i re read and seemsthat you’re right, i did als owondered why can’t the Dark Sea in AO dissipate but in AA could, also i should specify the destruction of which seas cuz SOMEHOW the 6th was safe lol
I want to see Morden GoW QTE an NPC
where can i even find the lore doc anyways?
i dont think theres anything about there being a dark sea dissapating in AA but the reason why the 6th sea was safe is a little complicated.
basically to get to the 7th sea you have to go east through an ENORMOUS stretch of empty water through the 6th sea and its INSANELY big.
this isnt the official map of what vetex had in mind for the 7 seas but its basically what it was meant to look like The Seven Seas
so basically after acherons attack this is what got destroyed (red circle)
Vetcord or (Full Arcane Lore - Google Docs)
Makes sense
The entire sea parried Acheron’s vegeta moment
No, there really isn’t anything that’s dark in the game.
The only creepy (wouldn’t even consider dark) things are Akursius Keep and that one big secret place in the nimbus sea assassin base…
I guess the fact that they killed a bunch of random civilians from Ravenna after torturing them could be a bit dark.
But I’m assuming that they were just cut down with a sword and not… you know… killed by one of the many horrible execution methods people have done in the past.
I don’t remember the lore super well since I haven’t really read it in a while, Durza’s blast that destroyed the world vaporized everyone so they died relatively pain-free (except in the afterlife i guess).
But yeah this game is not dark whatsoever, especially considering the fact that it’s on Roblox.
Pretty sure the whole of the fifth sea was destroyed since the arcane government hq along with its leadership was incinerated
Actually now that you mention it… Ghosts are pretty horrifying.
Not because they themselves are scary, but because they are so utterly lost.
They can’t make memories, they can’t feel anything, they are simply forced to drift through time and space. One moment they see their hometown, their family and their home, the next moment they are in a huge tempest, the town is in ruins and only things inhabiting are mutated monstrosities, and yet another moment and the storm disappears, the island has sunk into the sea and there is just an open stretch of water.
imo i dont see how it makes any sense because the third sea would have had also been destroyed
pretty sure thats not a completely lore accurate map
I think the lore is supposed to be dark, I’d say when vetex’s book comes up it will be clear that AO’s lore was always dark.
I mean it literally starts with our MC seemingly escaping some sort of torture experiment facility.
it looks similar to the one i saw drawn by vetex
reply 2. the lore maybe not? but makrinaos makes me terribly uncomfortable, something about the
makes me uncomfy. i guess this is the only darker thing?
No, I think it’s just because if we go down there, safe to say that we’re never getting out to tell the tale of what’s inside
- Genocide
- Racism
- Drug use (potions)
- Torture
- Death
- Psychological Horror (Abyss of Charon)
Yeah I think this game is kinda dark
