can we please have an rpg that just feels like one of the older style hack’n’slashes and not an open world ABA… i seriously hate mini fighting game systems in open world roblox games

can’t be a hack and slash cause hack and slash games tend to have a lot of enemies. and the obese oafs who have never seen anything in the past 5 years than their own computer screens will look at an rpg game with (1) enemy in it and then will proceed to shit their pants and begin to cry, like a little bitch screaming “Bandit Beater! Bandit Beater!” before making several videos starring their shrill and obnoxious voice reviewing the game and having ‘The game is a bandit beater I saw a grindable npc and a repeatable quest guys this game sucks it’s a bandit beater’ as it’s only somewhat valid point of critique.

and since Rell Seas’ main selling point is that “Wow look at us our game doesn’t have repeatable quests or grindable npcs that means we’re not a bandit beater look at us please line our pockets with money by buying gamepasses”, and assumedly because pvp will also contribute to the progression in the game, I guess we’re stuck with rehashing ABA combat, because “Devil May Cry inspired Combat” doesn’t mean intricate, well paced and satisfying to land, but it just means “look we added air combat dmc has air combat”

news flash, wise guy, they’re still making mediocre dragon ball games.

Dragon Soul is pretty much just the epitome of “Mediocre Dragon Ball Game” on the platform. I mean, sure, I played it for a bit, but it was only because I could just cosplay as Shallot. Nothing outstanding about it outside of being incredibly grindy. Raid Bosses have stupidly low armor drop rates, the character names are changed to copyright friendly ones cause ‘Muh Monetization’, the transformation cutscenes are neat but you really ever see them about 5 times max for each form. The fact that you can play as the Great Ape is cool, except for the fact that you have to grind for like 10 days straight to actually be able to transform into it, and that’s not even after you get a 1% drop from a raid boss. And even AFTER you do all the bs to get Great Ape, there can only be one in the server, INCLUDING THE NPC GREAT APE RAID BOSS. The game has a lot of strong suits but just as much things that seriously weigh it down.

2 people made DBZ battlegrounds games each. 1 of them is clearly better than the other and is the only one worth playing, and that’s Z battlegrounds. Basically the same as any other battlegrounds game. And by that, I mean it’s just a glorified test game with “unique combat”, and definitely not just a worse version of ABA.

The only things worth waiting for is the DBZ Final Stand Revamp, a new DBOG Update and Dragon Ball Nexus, which actually shows some amount of promise from the demo.

eh, a small thing imo, tho yeah they should maybe in an update, like giving you some other stuff.

but they can’t really change the model too much as that would just destroy animations and such.

dude as long as like the main grinding things, like bosses for example are pretty good, i wouldn’t mind most other methods being pretty mid. just simply because you can keep exchange what you do. that will always keep stuff fresh, or hell, you could be grinding for materials but still getting levels, that’s fun af.

i love arcane odyssey and it will always have a place in my heart. but if rell seas is actually good.

then i don’t believe i could play AO that much anymore. like fighting ON a moving ship and stuff like that is crazzyyyyyy (not to many that i just simply like one piece, so a good rpg is just a dream come true)

this is honestly why Vesteria has probably my favorite RPG combat system to date. it’s fun to kind of exist with everyone and toss a bunch of moves at huge fucking raid bosses instead of autopiloting the game once I figure out the ridiculously easy parry timings for some boss, and never touching PvP in a modern “SoolsLiek Inspiorerrd” roblox rpg because fights take 6 minutes to conclude when everyone knows parry timings

I love Vesteria, but it has a severe identity crisis regarding lore and general game direction, imo. I wish more ppl would admire its feel and try to make a better version of it, which personally I hope to do some day

Shinobi Life or whatever it’s called has really clunky feeling combat. I at least hope this doesn’t fall into the same issue.

Saw a bit of the movie and it looks really good visually. But game play wise im holding my breath. I really want a good One piece game i just hope it does not turn out to be a bandit beater. Does anyone have any info on a potential release window or is there none for now?

for something like an octopus man theyd have to make models of all the clothes and redo animations for everything to compensate for more arms, seems really unreasonable

The footages in the video were old so i assume most of the stuff in the video were already revamped or upgraded. One thing that really stick to me was the sea.

The islands were floating and didn’t connect to the sea floor at all if it even existed. They look like they’re gonna flow away anytime soon. The sea was really empty with nothing but bright colours piercing my eyes.

it ain’t a bandit beater, there might be quests that are similar, but that would be the same as saying that arcane odyssey is a bandit beater because you CAN bandit beat.

rell seas goes similar route of arcane odyssey where you can just do anything you want and still level up and progress

i mean, that was the testing world, so it might be something that will come in the release hopefully.

but tbh they can’t really do any underwater activity because fruit users would just kinda get cucked out of it. or i guess they could use the weird bubble things???

idk. i’m not really expecting underwater things.

Thats a bit reassuring but im still not getting my hopes up until I play it myself. It does look a bit promising tho
