but why a last name though?
oh yeah
maybe the last name that we get is linked or carved into our soul?
and that last name is the bloodline which is the “Golden Ichor Of Long Past”
or maybe the players bloodline is special and morden is our secretary or something like that who is trying to protect us to save our bloodline please help ;-;

“The Grudge” is a song about maturity and development, using alchemical, astrological, and mythological symbolism.
The planet Saturn has an orbital period of 29.5 years, so it returns to the astral position it occupied at the time of an individual’s birth as that individual approaches age 30; a significant and symbolic life moment for many people.
Jungian psychology (which is based mostly on alchemy) similarly defines the transit as a period of transition and maturation into adulthood. This may manifest itself as professional success, establishing a family or the fulfilment of other responsibilities, but it can also be a time of struggle and strife if the individual going through the transit cannot approach the period with the right mindset (letting go of our need to control and hold on to the life we know).
“The Grudge” portrays an example of the latter: an individual struggling to move on from past wrongs and unable to transcend (or simply grow up) as a result. By the end of the song the answer is very clear, with the repeated injunction to “let go”.
ah you’re late to the party I see
I knew that far long ago :T
Edit: WHilst you were busy talking about unknowns! >:C
Now the song repeats the phrase (or implies it in multiple lines) “let go”. We’ll have to deduce the meaning of it using what we know ig
that’s the problem, it’s a song that has many meanings so there’s lots of possibilities.
I talked about saturn return in my previous trash theory
The only vague link i can give you right now is that the period of maturation and significance vaguely represents golden ichor as a synonym for maturation but I prefer the theory of the ichor talking about a king with a long life
So I was trying to answer a certain question on the forums but then I came across this. Find this to be pretty cool to discover and it may or not be relevant anymore. I didn’t read the lore or whatever it says in there in the second link but I did scroll down to what certain words mean.
Read Description:
As I said, don’t know if this is relevant or not since it is pretty old, just wanted to share ;-;
That’s pretty cool, apparently it’s based on a fictional language in the books in the Inheritance Cycle series. I remember seeing some of these in my school when I was in grade 8-9.
It very obviously takes inspiration from a Germanic language (apparently Old Norse), but does so with Celtic languages as well, though it doesn’t say which in specific.
Braincells lost?
Yes.
Braincells regenerated?
None.
Okay, I’m gonna add my part into this.
The Eagle and the Quote
I’m surprised on one has seen a connection between the Eagle and the quote used.
- “When you move, fall like a thunderbolt”
This actually does correlate strongly with the Eagle. Well, particularly with how it attacks its prey. Eagles swoops down to attack their prey from the sky. The quote “fall like a thunderbolt” perfectly describes this!
In fact, the Eagle in the artwork is even in the position to do exactly that!
The fact that the Eagle is described as a “thunderbolt” implies the thonderbolt/lightning here is important. This is the next part.
The Comparison Between the Two
One reply from Tech here caught my attention.
The fact that Tech mentions this pretty much tells us that there’s some kind of contrast between the left and right and it’s somewhat pretty significant in the quote. However, this probably doesn’t mean its something like “good and evil, peace and war”. It could just represent two sides of the same coin.
So… What’s the contrast? Between these two?
Well, it’s hard to see at a first glance. But one thing to note in the quote at the left is the reference of “thunderbolt”, which is also kinda used in the background. The Eagle is referrenced to “fall like a thunderbolt” in the pic as well, so it has to be important.
Thunder, or lightning can mean a lot. It can represent fear, it can represent etc etc.
However, it turns out that in a lot of myths, there is always one common theme with thunder. And that is POWER, JUDGEMENT, ORDER.
Lightning also symbolizes destruction or loss of IGNORANCE.
Now how does this correlate with the quote on the left…? Read the left quote more closely.
- “… But it is also securing the space of others to contribute …”
The quote on the left is actually describing Peace as giving others FREEDOM to contribute towards creating a better world.
If you think about this, this mindset has a fatal flaw. Giving others freedom can indeed allow others to contribute towards a better world. However, it also brings IGNORANCE. It also allows more people to do what the heck they want whenever they want to. This includes a lot of bad things.
When ppl moved to Magius for the first time, were things peaceful when there was no longer a government surpressing the people? Did everyone really contribute to a better world? Heck no. In fact, it was described to be UTTER CHAOS.
Because no one was there to ensure that no one destroys that peace.
That’s why the right side is important.
The left side represents FREEDOM, the right side represents ORDER.
The quote on the right is describing how to maintain that order (To strike when necessary, to ensure no one passes the line). The quote on the left describes how to maintain peace (To give people freedom to contribute to a better world).
Both are needed to create a new era where the world prospers. There needs to be a balance in both to create harmony.
Magius was in a place of chaos when there was too much freedom. It was only when Trigno created a government that ensures order was that Magius was able to properly prosper. And for how long? 1000+ years!
I think this may be hinting to what we may do in Arcane Odyssey. If you think about it, it seems to strongly resonate with the themes of AA and AO.
In AA, there was the Arcane Government which was strongly said to have been corrupt and wanted world domination. The way AG was keeping the “peace” was through Order, but too much Order creates Tyranny. In AA, we discover all the good things ppl can do when they are given a chance. In AA, our player frees people. We try to stop a wizard from conquering a world, there’s a government also trying to rule the world, etc etc.
However, AO may be the EXACT OPPOSITE of this. There’s too much freedom, there’s bloodthirsty warriors, kingdoms at war, etc etc. No one is there to stop anyone from going too far. In AO, our character will possibly end up doing the exact opposite of the Peacekeeper. Possibly try to ensure Order, probably become someone who will strike those who are going beyond the line. The villain might not be someone who wants to rule the world, but someone who just destroys just for the sake of it and we stop them. There’s freedom in War Seas, but there’s too much, creating chaos.
This lines up is @Pokemonisntfun’s theory about the Eagle being us and how we will possibly become some conqueror/king. Most possibly a conquerer of the Seas.
It’s also interesting how John Thorne is once considered a Conqueror too in War Seas, yet was considered a good person. I think John Thorne also did this as well, which was probably why PK gave him the Metal Curse, despite their mission to destroy curses and all. It was so John Thorne would have the ability to stop anyone who passes the line, to protect the peace.
So yeah. Left side represents Freedom that the Peacekeeper fought for in the Seven Seas. Right side will be the Order that we will create in War Seas. Both will create a new era where the world would prosper.
Hmm… I’m still wondering why PK is in an AO riddle. And this makes me even more curious of the possible interactions with the AO player and the AA player, since if I’m right, this would mean that the two probably have opposing ideals of how to create Peace. Would bring a lot of interesting stuff to the plot tbh about morals and all.
If PK comes to the War Seas, this may be where PK learns that there needs to be a balance of freedom and order so that a better world can be created. May have led to the searching of Hades and Curses. (But this part is just speculation, so probably ignore this, ha…)
Okay, thank you for reading my essay. Did I get it right? Hopefully? If I am right with any of this, its probably only the left side = freedom and right side = order part, and I probably did everything else wrong. (oof)
EDIT: Gosh, I should’ve researched the symbolism behind Eagles more. Turns out they also represent LEADERSHIP, along with Courage, Strength, Resilience and Power.
Eagles are known as the KING OF BIRDS.
I’m such an idiot for not even researching into them more-
massive page, time to read it all
