Nice theory tho
finally read it and hot damn that’s a good theory. if you ain’t somewhat correct, then I will be severely disappointed
ngl I feel it would be more… literal.
idk, i feel like it’s right somewhere
ask tech
I disagree with it but it’s not completely different to my recent thoughts on the theory
Remember the eagle is a symbol of Freedom itself, rejecting that and saying the right side is about ORDER is quite brave. The defeat of Durza brought peace because Durza’s presence did not strip away freedom as he never had authority or rule. He stayed hidden, fleeing from the Government and Theos. He threatened peace. His death did not bring freedom, it brought peace.
The AO Player represents freedom because his enemy is more of a tyrant where people under his rule are stripped of freedom. Upon whose death brings freedom, freeing the oppressed from the shackles of the tyrannical king(s). They also are known to have a long life, that is why tech-senpai refers to their noble bloodline of “long past”
Evidence:
Tech-senpai said: “There are ancient kingdoms centuries old in these seas with war mongering kings and bloodthirsty soldiers that have lived untold amounts of years. These kingdoms are vastly hostile and this sea is far more dangerous than the 7 seas were. Stay alert wizards.”
sorry my google doc is suffering from procrastination so I just snipped this bit from it :c
Who said that?
no the ancient text isn’t related to the riddle unless if the guy on mount seawatch appears in AO
Well, I think, the chances of what Star said relating to the story is quite likely, how so? Well, I’m not allowed to share the translations, but it could refer to the war seas in some way, as you, and everybody else calls it ‘ancient text’, we can presume it came from either the War Seas or the 7 Seas.
In response, Eagles actually also have many meanings, not just freedom, just like Lightning/Thunder. Freedom is just one of those that is mostly known by people in the general public.
This is why a lot of these riddles are confusing af. Because many of the symbolic things used here have multiple meanings and interpretations and it’s hard to figure out which is the one it’s meant to come across as.
I kinda edited my theory just before your response (since I realised it just now, oof), which explains that Eagles are actually strongly associated with Leadership and Royalty, and they’re also known as the King of Birds, which strongly supoorts this and also goes along with the theme of thunder/lightning.
Of course, there’s possibly Tyranny in War Seas as well, possibly some Kings surpressing the people of the lower class, maybe slavery. However, that exact quote was what exactly made me believe in my theory about AO in the first place.
Tech’s words aren’t implying the Kings are doing something like “forcing their soldiers to fight for war”. Instead, the soldiers was described to be BLOODTHIRSTY, which means that the Kings and their soldiers are causing conflict just for the sake of it. Not for any greater good, but just… to have war. Have conflict.
It’s somewhat no different to how Magius was without the era of the Magic Council. People were able to do what they want whenever they want (including conflict) because who would stop them? So it doesn’t matter.
Also… About Durza… He totally aimed to rule the world and it was even written in the Lore doc.
EDIT 2: Forgot to add here, Freedom in the context of the quote of the left is what brings Peace. So technically PK killing Durza didn’t just brought Peace, but also freedom. Freedom from the fear of another trying to rule over the world and surpess the people. It also blew up the AG (which was corrupt) so that’s a plus!
In AA, we had to believe in the good of others to create a better world. In AO, to create a better world we have to become a force of good in a world where there’s none.
I only created my theory to somehow contrast the two sides, since it seems relevant due to Tech’s words.
There’s a high chance I was ways off though since I doubt this riddle was just hinting towards the story theme of AO.
EDIT: Dang. Tried not to spit out another essay, but oh well-
Firstly, you are a like a breath of fresh air compared to other people here, thanks for that.
Secondly, your aim to contrast both sides is noble but in my humble opinion I would say that tech-senpai wanted us to use what we already know about AA to figure out AO. Therefore, the left side is AA and the right side is AO. This in itself proves our theory that the eagle is the AO Player. Yes eagle has many symbolisms, but so does Dove. If we were to sit here and research all the habits and thins about a dove we would get many things, furthermore we risk information that seems relevant but isn’t. That’s leaking into over analysis. The dove and golden olive branch is as simple as a symbol of peace. So the eagle is as simple as a symbol of freedom.
Yes durza wanted to rule the world but that was his dream. His current status when the PK is alive is just a threat to peace. It’s like trying to overthrow a government but instead killing them when they’re children before they become the government.
Plus the idea of becoming a force of good in AO seems incompatible with game-play. For one, guilds are a thing and they’re just irrelevant additions with no part in lore.
Apart from the riddle. In general the left side of a picture is peace. The right side is judgement and freedom. Think I mentioned that in my first google doc.
I’d love to give you an analysis of lightning but I’m lazy and I have school rn.
Instead of replying to this reply, I recommend you uh research the lyrics that tech posted in the discord, I used those screenshots for myself.
Actually, start with “saturn ascends, choose one or ten…” a lyric from Grudge by TOOL. And if you mention kronos coming to AO I will kidnap your future children . . . probably not.
Hey what’s that supposed to mean (๑•̀ㅁ•́๑)
I am 100% sure the ancient texts are related to AO story as it speaks in depth about the War Ages but I’m highly skeptical if this riddle has anything to even do with this riddle
sorry! D:
I’d like to think that the eagle quote is actually quite different almost. In the quote, Sun Tzu says…
“Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.”
I think what the first part of this quote means is that when you make a certain plan, you have to make as secretive as possible. Make it so secretive, that nobody else’s knows that you’re doing it, just like night.
For the second part “…and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt” I think that would mean that when you take your plan into action, make it as big and as damaging as possible. It’s a pretty nice quote from Sun Tzu if I do say so myself.
Now to actually get the full picture, we would have to understand who the eagle actually represents. Now in Poke’s theory, they believe that the eagle is the player in AO, but I’m not really 𝒻𝑒𝑒𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓋𝒾𝒷𝑒. The theory could be true, but I just think that p o s s i b l y it could be something else. Idk though so don’t ask me ;-;
Them be fihgting words
If the dove is PK, what else can PK be compared to other than the Player of AO? D:
Edit: the rest I could see it
What was the sentence after that
it uh-says you knew . . . i think
. . .
well if dove = pk
eagle = ???
Eagle is AO Player, I’m telling you.
For one the only other person you can say is Durza, but then that wouldn’t be an AO riddle.
Second, what’s the point of the quote if the AO Player is not the Eagle, it’s just directing an NPC to strike like a lightning bolt . . . smh
Edit: I mean what more evidence do you want, the whole riddle points towards it
The dove is a symbol of peace, PK is a symbol of peace
The eagle is a symbol of freedom, the AO Player will be a symbol of freedom
Dawn is the birth and re-birth of awakening
Dawn is illumination and hope
Lightning is the destruction of ignorance
Ocean is the symbol of stability
Open sky represents freedom
