maybe damage stacks the longer it goes on, such as the toxic move from Pokemon
and how long it lasts depends on the strength of the blast

the magic would have like, 0.25% damage base though

Sorry for necrobumping but maybe some kind of psionic magic that creates strange pink/purple/green energy projectiles and explosions, the attacks are average in everything but are weak in clashing, where they shine though is the “confused” status effect which inverts movement controls for a short period, multiple attacks make the duration of this effect longer.

“Kinesis” magic or “psion” magic would be the name

yeah lol smoke magic
it’s uh a gas magic
clouds the opponents screen as an effect
very similar stats to wind, but is slower, does more damage and doesn’t knock back
has decent synergy with ash
it’d be cool if it had a steam variant which was lighter

I would love a lost magic for flowers.
Flowers are pretty and I want to beat up little kids with flowers.

Proposal: Fog Magic (“Frost” Magic)

As Fire brings forth Ash, Ice brings forth Fog, cloudy air formed by condensed water vapour and ice particles often emitting off of cold substances like liquid nitrogen.

  • Somewhat non-exotic (aside from the name and since it’s uncommonly seen distinct from ice)
  • Not a reskin, inverse of Ash
  • Elemental
  • Cloud
  • Cold

Variants:

  • Rime (bluish-white)
  • Frost/Hoarfrost (pure white)

Stats

Damage Affinity: 0.8x
Speed Affinity: 0.8x
Size Affinity: 1.3x
Destruction Affinity: 0.2x

Status

  • Frosty: Partially obscures vision and deals up to 35% of damage dealt rounded down over 10 seconds. The visual obscuring stacks.
  • Deal 5% more damage to Frosty targets.

Properties

  • Creates damaging clouds of Frost, though denser than most clouds and harder to see through.
  • Frosts objects with sufficient AoE on contact.
  • Frosts Metal, Wood, Crystal, Glass, and Earth upon clashing.
  • Status temperature slightly lower than Ice

Interactions

Outgoing
  • Freezes when used with the Freezing status effect, and deals 25% more damage.
  • Deals 25% more damage if the target is bleeding.
  • Freezes when used with the Snowy/Soaked status effect, and deals 20% more damage.
  • Deals 15% more damage if the target is crystallized.
  • Removes the corroding status effect.
  • Removes the charred status effect and deals 10% less damage.
  • Deals 20% less against Burning/Petrified
  • Deals 25% less against Scorched
  • Deals 30% less against Melting
  • Deals 75% less damage if the target is frozen.
