YOOOOO, I FINIALLY DID IT. IT’S BEEN checks notes OVER FOUR MONTHS, YIKES. I WROTE A NEW THING.
Okay, so, a while back I uploaded a little writing project here; a Zelda fanfic of nineteen thousand characters. Since then, I’ve written a new chapter, and also cleaned up the old one to be both more readable and less cringe-inducing.
“Yap, yap, yap, Game, just show us this amazing fanfic and stop blabbering like you do in every post. And also you’re handsome and amazing.” I hear you say.
Well, I’m glad you think that, so without further ado—here we are. The new Chapter I and Chapter II.
Just some quick polls for feedback

I uh, should probably post this on like Tumblr or AO3 or literally anywhere besides here, huh? Ah well, this game has BotW cooking, so surely some people here like Zelda, right?
Looking forward to them. Oh, have you ever considered switching the pov to Link? I know it’s mostly centered around Zelda’s inner thoughts and struggles, but I think it could be interesting to see whats going on in Links head; just for like one chapter maybe.
Hyyyaaahh. I thought, staring ahead into Zelda’s green eyes. They were the same color of Stamila Shrooms—only a bit darker and deeper. Stamila Shrooms… my mind went to food. Was she hungry? Did we have enough food? Would she like the food? After all, she was once a princess—but I knew she’d never complain no matter what I made her. I had to be sure her words were genuine.
Yesterday we fought bokobolins. After butchering them, I told Zelda about how I had learned to make elixirs out of their parts when combined with animals. I should have never told her. She started gathering frogs an hour ago, and has yet to come back. Triforce of Courage be darned, I’m terrified. Help.
Jokes aside—I’ll consider it. It’s just a bit harder to write Link’s inner monologue as we’ve seen his self-expression a lot less than Zelda. He doesn’t say a word outside of vague dialogue interactions and Zelda’s mentions in her diary.
The narration would change considerably, which would be difficult to do, as my writing better suits Zelda’s personality and inner-focus.

Haha these are great. Honestly it would be cool to see your interpretation of what’s going on in Link’s mind based on the way we play the game. Maybe just as a seperate, smaller, and more comedic fanfic than the current one. But anyway, you’re doing Zelda’s pov very well so keep it up!
(again those Link inner-dialogue snippets are genius I need more in my life)
