here’s an interesting thought: are aliens more animal/beast like in behavior and advanced or are they more like us and civilized, also what’s more likely biological technology or more mechanical technology

I mean more land and if they are advanced enough to travel light years relatively quickly they should have no problem extincting us in around one or two days

It would appear that you have several misunderstandings regarding our species’ position.

  1. If we’re being observed it’s highly possible that we’re not the only civilization that they’re studying.

  2. Assuming we’re not unique is shortsighted, frankly we don’t know anything about the actual odds of life developing, the odds of it then advancing to intelligent life or even just how many species survive long enough to go beyond their planet.
    Life could be extremely rare, we could possibly be the first intelligent species, or the closest other intelligent species could be several galaxies away for all we know.
    Or, it could be extremely common and we just don’t have the proper tools to find it yet.
    We could also be being jammed right now in order to limit our connection with the rest of the universe, so that our evolution isn’t affected by outside sources.
    Right now we only have Earth as a sample, which just isn’t enough to form a solid understanding on the matter, any number of possibilities could be the case, we just don’t know.

It can all be summed up as, we just don’t know.
We don’t know how many of our concepts are applicable on the universal stage, we’re still an extremely young and underdeveloped civilization.
We’re currently at constant risk of nuclear war, are incapable of creating a global government / something similar that would allow us to act as a unified entity, still have a sizable portion of people who judge others by the amount of melanin in their skin, are currently in the process of defining Gender Vs Sex, haven’t created an ideal government, the list goes on…
We still have alot of things to deal with before we can start reaching beyond our immediate area in a massive and organized manner required for us to get the information that we need on the matter.

nah if those aliens were smart they would eradicate us all immediately. and the US government would try and attack them immediately regardless if they were peaceful or not

oh if a really sophisticated alien race wanted us dead, they could just tilt a asteroid’s trajectory so it comes flying into Earth. Kinda like what happened to the dinosaurs.

There are almost certainly other intelligent alien races that have progressed far beyond us with their available resources

welp. hope they have fun trying to find us in millions of light years of space. Even if they can move faster than light, we are very small.
