You’re thinking of math for a magic idea my man
that would be probably like temporal infinity
if you want a good idea you go big or go home
sometimes, i actually like to put effort into my ideas, shockingly, and a lot of effort too
Golden coming from the mf who thought up “femtex fart magic”
i mean I think multiverse infinity would probably be the easiest and most balanced sounding to represent? like some kind of… idk… utility based magic?
The most popular example of “infinity” powers is probably Gojo Satoru’s infinity from Jujutsu Kaisen. He basically has an “aura” of infinity around him; no attack will ever reach him because there’s an infinite amount of space between the attack and his body (it’s hard to explain, that’s just an oversimplified version). He also has a technique where he basically makes his opponent experience everything in existence (aka take an infinite amount of information) and it usually destroys their brain. You can search him up if you wanna learn more about his abilities.
It would be pretty hard to conceptualize an infinity magic that falls in line with AO’s magic system, but there are several classifications of infinity so I guess if you focus on one you can probably use it as a starting point
I have 2 sides
you’re seeing the “actually using brain” side of me
These are my 2 sides
I understand that, the closest example being maybe to the zenos paradox? that’s how i see it.
sounds like some kind of insanity based attack maybe
goofy

Not exactly a show really

curse / ancient magic
infinity magic is a strange magic with incredibly strong supportive and defensive capabilities, it drains a lot of magic energy and deals no damage however, so use it carefully
infinity magic has a unique set of moves that are listed here:
aura of infinity
the user shrouds themselves in a mysterious aura that causes them to have infinite space surround them, causing the user to be immune to all weak projectiles such as arrows and throwing daggers, as well as certain fighting styles, this move also decreases all damage taken by 10%, but however while the aura is active, mana is passively drained slowly, 1.8% every tick, and this ignores the effects of ouroboros.
zeno’s barrier
create mysterious constructs that when a magic based attack hits it, the magic will become infinitely smaller and vanish entirely, these barriers protect against all projectile based attacks, but will not protect against spirit weapons, most fighting styles, and normal melee weapons.
infinity blast
the user will fire a mysterious orb that does not deal any damage whatsoever, but will cause the opponent to have infinitely weak damage, thus for a temporary amount of time all of the opponent’s main source of damage output will deal no damage at all, however this move has incredibly long cooldown and can miss, so be careful.
paradox
the user freezes themselves or the opponent in a moment of time, the user can then travel back to this moment in time and have magic energy revert to the state it was at in that moment in time, however health does not change, as for an opponent, this move will teleport the opponent back but inflict a mild stun with a small stat debuff to all stats.
doppelganger
the user activates a mysterious aura around them to reveal a magic clone that is actually the user from an infinite alternate reality, this doppelganger does exactly what the user does, and uses the same attacks as the user, this spell however is disabled when a doppelganger is already out.
eternal traveler
teleportation move that causes the user to appear in the area in front of them instantly via swapping bodies with another version of the user from a different reality, one of the cheaper spells of infinity magic.
realm of infinity
the user casts a massive orb that when fired, will entrap the opponent into a mysterious pocket dimension, the user will also enter this dimension of infinite whitespace, the way to escape is to exit through the portal behind the user (similar to duelist glove’s ability from slap battles) the user has increased defense by a little as well, however this move is incredibly draining, and has an extremely long, 5 minute cooldown.
ouroboros
this move is special because the user will deal 12% total HP damage to themselves, in order to temporarily gain infinite mana for 1.7 minutes.
Unsure if magics would have a set built in, maybe this could instead be a curse?
Sorry for the absence the last few days I was punished, I’ll all these soon
Nah, Lost.
Sorry for not adding.
Curse Idea
Name: Immunity Curse
Category: External Curse
Description: The immunity curse is an external curse which allows the user to be, for a few moments, completely invincible. Any attacks thrown at them will end up being unable to break through their physical body and/or mana field, and will have no effect or apparent weight to the curse user.
Although the curse cannot be used offensively, it can be used to support already existing offensive attacks. Since it also affects the qualities of one’s magic energy, it allows spells to be completely uncounterable, deflectable, or absorbable. The only option would be to dodge the attack.
One severe weakness the curse has is it’s hard limit on the amount of time the effect can last. After much training, the effect’s duration can be increased to 30 seconds, but nothing more.
SOAP
Item Type: Consumable
Effects: when under the effects of the soaked status or in water one can consume the item to gain the “Clean” buff. Which reduces all damage taken by 2% per rarity level of soap (seasonal=rare), reduces damage taken from the poisoned effect by 50% and increases galleons gained by +50% per rarity level of the soap (seasonal=rare). Thus a legendary soap will grant a 10% damage reduction , 60% damage reduction against poisoned status, and give +250% extra galleons. The clean status effect lasts for a period of time according to the ingredients added. The maximum being 10 minutes. The clean status effect is removed by the petrified, scorched, and burning status effects. Insanity 2+ will also remove it.
