awakenings will definitely be done for early access, but maple is kinda right. It really isn’t required. Most stat builds are okay as is and combat still seems to be fun and engaging.

why would awakenings matter if you cant do anything past them, as release if not early access the level cap is 120

no it wont be lol there isnt any kind of time crunch, the game won’t release if awakenings arent done simple as that, and i think youre overestimating how long theyre gonna take

i feel lost spells are for customization and versatility, not replayability. that would be stuff like a different stat build or the exploration prospect.

lost stuff is a lot more important to replayability than you think, doing most activities in the game wouldn’t have much point if there weren’t rarer things like that to obtain

well for example you go from using weapons and magic to imbueing your weapon attacks with magic, i wouldnt consider that just a small boost its basically the entire point of the route

as for the point of this thread, the game is coming out mid january at the latest whether these features are added or not, im not gonna cut everything just to release it in december. IMO the only things really needed for initial early access are a few lost spells/techniques/rare weapons and awakenings, anything else such as basic dark sea stuff can be added as an update or something. The game will be missing content cuz its early access obviously but u cant just cut out like every major feature and say “itll be fine as it is”, it still needs at least some replayability besides pvp stuff like renown/leaderboards

edit: basically what im saying is if its mid january but something like brewing isnt started, im not gonna delay the game just to add that

i guess for the dark sea things like mirage islands and the basics like magic weather will still be included. but since its early access things like special and island related gear/weapons wont be made until early access right?

i was talking stat wise but i do realize the boost in damage and gameplay, however if the storyline doesnt go up to awakening then there isnt a point to make it.
though you said you will make them so i assume the storyline will be completed upon early access.
