Arcane Abyss Sea, the Atlantean Infection AU

And what if an already mutated Atlantean would find a curse?

it’d probably be like seawater reacting with a curse user

same deal

atlantean with an external curse
while (USUALLY) less powerful than elementals, it’s still a curse with none of the downsides. they can still swim.
the war seas are doomed if it happens

that’s not to say Sea Curses will be left completely untouched in this AU however, as I still want to experiment with that concept in relation to Abyss, in a way that’s less obvious.

But I can assure you – the first thing we did for this whole thing was to figure out how to nerf Curses – not just gonna throw that all away now.

(WHICH IS WHY ALL DISCUSSION OF CURSES IN THIS TOPIC HAS BEEN SET IN A HYPOTHETICAL CONTEXT)

Bro you can’t just disintegrate Morden, Julian and Calvus’s fragments of his grandpa power from this universe

yo if a mutated Freedrock dies, does he come back mutated or unmutated if he rolls the revive

i haven’t, what?? :sob::sob: literally have been messing around with ways to integrate their powers into this AU for weeks now

now we’re asking the big questions :st3: :st3:

if Randal gets infected, what happens to the tree he’s in/created?

tree atlantean confirmed???

tree becomes scary dark sea tree probably :man_shrugging: :man_shrugging:

top 10 spookiest trees in the Abyss Sea AU

Just yeet them into the sea, problem solved.
Unless it’s an external curse, at that point you might be cooked

The wallest Atlantean. He is in every wooden wall

schizo siren lore (siren ships real!!!)

Sirens and Sailboats

As the surge of Winterveil refugees entered the Dark Sea and died to Sirens, the Sirens had many boats that they had no idea what to do with. Normally they’d just let them sink overtime as they awaited their next prey, but the sheer amount of boats at the rocks would for sure give away the fact that they were killing the crews of the boats.

Most decided to scuttle the ships, however a few intrepid sirens on the more populated Siren Rocks decided to sail the Dark Sea. During their journeys, many would encounter Atlanteans but were ignored by them. These explorers would eventually contact other Sirens for the first time in hundreds, if not a thousand years. During the early years of exploration however, not many went out still.

This would change by the time the first adopted Sirens grew up. This swell in the Siren population allowed all Siren Rocks to reasonably begin trade and allow for travel between each other. Many Sirens even caught experienced Dark Sea adventurers off guard, not expecting them to be sailing around the Dark Sea.

Various advancements and innovations were made in Siren technology and culture during this time. Among one of these advancements, was awakenings, the ability to use the items they found in sealed chests, and more convincing songs to lure sailors to their deaths. Many other techniques or skills individual Siren Rocks had made long before the others were finally shared around, pushing Siren tech even further.

The Age of Sail was a golden age for Sirens, the Fall of Winterveil led to the rise of a unified Siren force. Siren boats are colored white, with gold accents and other decorations. They’ve even learned how to build ship parts and the occupation as a shipwright exists now amongst sirens. Even roles on ship crews like navigators or enchanters exist.

When Siren sailors noticed Atlantean sailboats heading towards waters they had mapped as close to the Bronze Sea, many predicted the Atlanteans were invading. As such, many Siren captains, looking to obtain some new treasures in the War Seas joined the Atlantean invasion. In the months and years that followed many more would set sail towards the War Seas in search of treasure.

Neviro sneaking onto a Siren trade ship, totally not cause he had a score to settle with a certain kingdom

guys he just wants to see all the cool treasure!!! disregard the very obvious human disguise!

Neviro, a renowned spearman and one of the few Siren males to gain so much respect in the eyes of the Sirens becoming a deckhand on a sailboat bound for the Bronze Sea for “totally no reason or vendetta”:

Tbh we need a negotiator between these sirens and survivors. Do we have any women we don’t need? Just to be sure if the negotiations fail we won’t lose anyone important

most sirens have the mentality of pirates that eat their victims, it won’t end well.
