Arcanium Item Stat Speculations

basically what the title says, what do you guys think what stats each magic will give

I assume the stats that magic will give will be put into groups like this:
Heavy: Defense
Fast: Attack speed/agility
DoT: Intensity
Large: Attack size
In the case that a magic shares two or more qualities listed, I assume it’d take from the highest affinity

i cant fucking wait to see some guy make the most stupid shit that buffs his stats even way more with more min maxxing :tada:

I guess magicless arcanium will give no extra stats

more metamancing hell but this is likely to match with arcanium weapons later

earth arcanium frozen items become in demand

Pretty average stat magics are not going to be having a good time with this one

Wind should give intensity

My two main concerns regarding this change are:

  1. Will this railroad people into certain magics so the stuff buff benefit their build
  2. How will standard ship parts compare to certain arcanium rams/cannons

no, wind naturally gives more knockback

oh yeah, this will change the meta if people use these items

Arcanium item secondary effects would also be an interesting idea

what if wind instead naturally gives more knock back (the jewel stat)

Alright, now let’s assign stats to magic. Intensity: acid, ash, fire, glass, magma?, plasma, poison. Defense: crystal, earth (I would rather give it size), ice, metal, wood. Size: explosion, sand, water. Speed/agility: light, lightning, snow, wind. Idk: shadow. Useless: magicless

it only makes sense with wind though because what magic is going to be having energy regen or some other effect? water for swim speed? and if a magic did get energy regen it would have some issues

Wind is not in intensity group bc theres hella a lot of others there and also wind has step dodge

So nothing changes, but yeah that’d be the hypothetical line-up

Maybe they give different secondaries that aren’t currently on jewels
Maybe something increases your resistance to temperatures

I think this makes more sense if it is based on the magic itself so like magma would have defense with lesser size and intensity but -speed
