Not really a build, but Accuracy has me thinking - if it makes moves home in on a target (did it ever get stated that’s how it works? I’m going off hearsay here), how about high Accuracy on a slow magic barrage/multiblast? Persistent pressure, and could be brutal if you land a move that locks someone in place.
Also a friend had an idea: Vanishing Juggernaut, use the spirit clone move and vanish while your clone causes problems. Spirit Rain could also combine nicely with those moves that slam enemies into the ground.
Idea: Earth Conjurer using Bedrock magic on a wooden club or a sword to imitate a Macuahuitl. Probably wouldn’t look correct. Too bad there’s no Obsidian magic/color variant.
Yes, but this stacks with your base blocking power of 55%
In the original post I said you could reach 100% because I assumed that this would stack additively with gems, which upon further research turned out to be wrong. According to the formula on the wiki, they stack multiplicatively:
so jewels alone can only bring you to about 86.5% damage reduction.
Adding boxing on to this brings you to 89.5% blocking power, any buffs beyond this are unfortuantely unsustainable things like shields or potions. In my experience with an incomplete resistance build, this isn’t enough to achieve immortality.
math for boxing
We can however add boxing to this to come slightly closer:
While looking through the thread to post the full release specific ideas I had in another thread, I realized three of them could mesh together, if stat requirements play nice: Earth Vanishing Spirit Savant with a high Accuracy gear build. Throw out slow projectiles that will home in on your opponent, summon a spirit clone, and enter stealth. Might not need Magic if Spirit gets slow projectile options.
I’ve been thinking about doing a high intensity build for my sand mage, so I can throw out pulsars as often as possible, placed explosions when that’s not available, and hide behind particles. Just tested it with some intensity items I had lying around, needed around 300 to always have a pulsar up.
