Courage Rites: Rites that require Vitality and Weapons to use.

Description: Rites that allows the user to form weapons out of spirt energy

Mechanics: They are rites that can be put on a spirit weapon and upon using will make a weapon that’s made of pure spirit energy. It will then swap out the rites the spirit weapon has with weapon skills that will scale with vitality and weapons stat. To deactivate the weapon produced by the courage rite it’s as simple as de-select the spirit weapon. There are many different kind of courage rites which will produce different weapons depending on the rite. Some higher-level courage Rites could even have their own signature skills when the weapon is produced and even have added status effects. The weapon formed by the courage rite will possess the properties of the spirit weapon they were put onto so if a courage rite is put onto eagles’ patrimony it of course has lightning synergies. Because it’s forming a weapon the attacks performed will also cause bleeding. (BTW courage rites are affected if a magic was imbued onto the spirit weapon if it was being used by a Savant for example)

Limits: You will only be able to have one spirit weapon equipped that has a courage rite in it at a time so knights will have probably at least 1 weapon to imbue spirit energy on to. The weapon will be only able to use the default weapon skills of its weapon class and however there will be a way to switch around the skills it does have. So, if the Spirit weapon is turned into a katana, it can only use katana class skills and not bladed class skills or any other skills. (I think it should be thought about whether courage rites should use only the skill default to the weapon or if the skills can be changed for skills from a different weapon class)

Customization: If you are to rearrange the weapon skills on the courage rite first the courage rite must be unequipped from a spirit weapon then you probably take it to a blacksmith or something to disarm it and then apply the skill notes and apply it to the spirit weapon you want.

How it will look: The looks of the weapons that are formed will basically be in the shape of a weapon with the color of the user’s spirit energy so blue or purple if knight or red or gold if savant and there will be the added effects depending on which spirit weapon is used. Weapons made from higher level courage rite might have more unique looks to them and also possibly have a much more physical appearance (Also, BTW if the spirt weapon is something that needs to be held in hand it will be placed back into its unequipped position to make room for the created weapon however the spirit weapon will continue to have spirit energy)

How to acquire: Edit( For acquiring you could make it so that you have to do some kind of image training to conjure and form the weapons properly. Like in actual conjurers do and not in AO (Kurapika had to do a bunch of stuff with Chains in order to spawn them properly). kinda like fighting styles but more in-depth because 2 build pathway. suggested by: SoifonFan74473727720)

Lore-Suggestion: I’d say courage rites were probably made by Hephaestus because he is a Greek God of blacksmithing

Why: A knight weapon could be done however it would be the simple and easy solution plus I also see it possibly interfering with imbuing spirit weapons on to weapons.

Ideas for Courage Rites

A ton of default simple ones that cover every weapon type

Blessed Blade: A unique bladed class courage rite that creates a sword which causes blindness and has a unique skill that performs a flying slash in the shape of a cross the name of the skill would be called Blessed Cross.

just throwing an idea out there.

you know what i quite like that idea imma change it to you idea thanks

A very good solution to the problem that knight has to share slots for spirit weapons and normal weapons

i had a different idea for knight-exclusive “blessed weapons”, which are just regular weapons but with 2 of their skills replaced with unique rites and a unique ult art for each blessed weapon

their skills and rites do not have split requirements (except for the ultimate), so other weapon and vitality builds can technically use them, just not very well

since these weapons are blessed with the same kind of power as stuff like the eagle patrimony and staff of night, their spirit energy can be imbued into normal weapons, as well as fighting styles and magic

Ok thank you
