Empty goal. Once you’ve gotten that better gear, there’s almost nothing for you to do with it except to flex on others or use it to defeat a rather repetitive NPC AI
Also an empty goal.
Sureee, but beyond PvP it’s also empty. I admit that it’s really cool to see how a new spell would look on you but the hours upon hours spent in between spells is just plain wasted.
Once again, no point except for combat and flexing. PvP is fulfilling, but even then it gets rather boring after a few hours unless you’re willing to grind that as well.
I never said levelling was bad. I just think we need more stuff to do than just running errands for NPCs. Or hunting them.
yeah you grind for best gear then wait for more to be added next update
your entire playstyle changes when you unlock new spells since you have more options for movement and combat. but i guess to you grinding for new spells is just wasted time?
excuse me but what the fuck is the point in becoming stronger if that’s not it?
I think you’re missing the point. The current leveling system is just boring and unsatisfying. Everything is randomised, and sure it may be fast compared to other grind games, it doesn’t feel as rewarding
if you dislike the current goals though you could just stop playing for a few months then come back once new stuff is added. maybe you’ll find motivation to level? idk i never had a problem with it
But essentially if this is how WoM’s leveling system will be for the whole 5000 levels then it might as well die like it is dying now because people are getting bored lol
people are bored because there’s nothing to do. this happens in every game where people complete the endgame content. the endgame content at the moment is easy af to complete because we’re still an incredibly low level in the grand scheme of things.
like i said just wait for a few updates and maybe you’ll find that something new was added that makes you want to grind for. im sure the actual “endgame” stuff will be much more enjoyable
You’re putting up solutions to make WoM more like a simulator game. Is that what you want?
Vetex is not going to ruin the entire concept of a more lively game that he’s already set. As Mim said, wait until you find something you like more, because the game is not more than 2% complete if you exclude the time he had to work to get the main mechanics working. That’s it.
Yeah, I’m definitely hoping the endgame content will be really good. But overall there’s not much sense of progression though. Like, all the NPCs have random levels and the process of leveling is not very enjoyable right now
Probably because we’re 80 levels into a game that’s scaling towards 5000?
We’re not supposed to have “the good stuff” yet. This is just an introduction. Baby quests.
To be honest, yes, I would rather it lean towards the simulator side.
Basically what I’m saying is that the spawn rates should entirely just be buffed for all quests, NPCs, and structures, as well as certain regions of the map where NPCs of a certain level will spawn. WoM will still have the randomised factor to it, but there will be much more tangible ways to level.
Dude I’m worried about the model of the game. If a completely randomised world is how Vetex wants it then it might as well just stick to 300 players average.
And also… if this is what you call a ‘start’ to the game, then it’s definitely not going to hook new players.
Your idea of putting set level NPCs on certain areas of the map ignores the whole focus of the game.
Anyone can start anywhere. The level of NPCs is scaled to that of the players in the server already, it wouldn’t even matter if they made it that way. It would still be the same type of progression.
You only feel like it’s not satisfying because there aren’t enough rewards to grinding yet.
BECAUSE THE GAME IS STILL IN EARLY STAGES.
Not exactly entirely set levels. Just randomised to a range. Because currently all the NPCs are COMPLETELY randomised.
Ah but here’s the thing: I’m not talking about the end game rewards of the game, like second magic progression or whatnot. I’m talking about the term ‘reward’ in the sense that the way we level is not rewarding enough.
WoM isn’t adhering to the basic psychological factors contributing to a video game which provides a renewed sense of achievement and fun.
When are you going to realise that WoM is never going to become a full on simulator?
How is vetex going for a more randomized and constantly changing gameplay bad?
I don’t even know who would want the game to become a simulator apart from you. Neither I know WHY you would want it to become one. If anything, a simulator would feel even MORE linear and boring than this, and only appeal to kids.
It would be nice if the bosses had like… a camp structure where-ever they’re set up so that there’s some way to tell that they are there from a distance without tracking them.
If a group of 5 bandits can set up a building that I can see from mount seawatch, surely the minotaur/exiled can do better.
Smart npcs is a good idea, no one wuant easu npcs, they are already too easy if they get dumb too the game turns even more boring (your idea is totally wrong in there)
the random quest generator is a good idea and isnt even that difficult to do them the only main problem is the far distance objectives and lack of exp on novice, but still the leveling isnt exactly the problem. (blox fruits leveling is just boring what tf is wrong with you), if leveling isnt fun just its because is repetitive not because its bad, we need more ways on leveling and vetex is working on that apparently
The real problem is end game content, because a majority of player base just get that quickly, and there is exactly nothing to do beside fishing that gets boring after a time, creating some kind of build that is repetitive and needs breaks sometimes and now boss hunting that will eventually get boring too.
