It admittedly doesn’t help that the map that all the high levels play at happens to be the same map that all the low levels play on.
And my point is that EBG is dying. WoM is not dying. It’s the difference between a toddler taking their first steps and an old man stumbling along. Both walk in a similar way only the toddler is going to grow up and walk faster, while the old man will not.
Though some times it seems EBG is immortal.
I’m talking about EBG. Legend was talking about the “toxic fanbase”
If you payed attention the reply was to his comment and I separated it from the paragraph talking to you.
EBG…
Toxicity does exist.
Teams that are like “So what if we’re teaming we’re better than you”
Spawn killers who pull people out of spawns. Leave them alone man
The random high level who decides they’re having a bad day and simply kill every single person who ventures out of their spawn by virtue of superior skill (once had this happen with two level 300s who not only had superior skill were also in a party) and then say things like “You’re all trash” and “EZEZEZ” when it really isn’t necessary.
I mean it’s a fighting game things like that are gonna happen.
Now back on topic the entire point of this was to discuss movement.
Combat in WoM features a lot of standing still which is fine for PvE but not very fine for PvP.
If we added mobile combat two things would be necessary: Spells should take more magic energy. AI should dodge while firing attacks.
This would probably ruin a lot of things.
In other news teams happen a lot actually. 1/10 servers has a team of 3 or more players. Usually these teams are weak but occasionally better ones appear.
Technically a high level going crazy can happen in WoM but a) low level protection b) the MC c) not the real point of the game d) map too big
People do say useless stuff in the chat. Happens all the time.
Spawn killing is also bad because a) even if they were running the high level should have the ability to kill them before they make it b) they only deserve it if they lie about running to the spawn and/or piss you off in some other way c) pulling afk people out of the spawn is petty and shows you’re a bad person d) go find someone else to kill mate
Movement wise eh WoM might as well remain the same. I suspect in the future combat will revolve around really powerful ultimates and the like so movement won’t be as important as in EBG. And even if ultimate use is discouraged like in EBG (which is doubtful since ultimates are probably really useful against bosses) PvP in WoM revolves more around aim, timing, and situational awareness, rather than movement (high jumps are like the only movement you use). Another reason PvP ought to remain the same is because the AI is at a disadvantage if you can move while firing things like 20 shot blasts. And WoM is more PvE rather than PvP centered.
I am so confused at what the point you’re trying to make is
how is the map being too big a problem for disabled immobilization? wat I’m confused
I made a suggestion to run a test with immobilization being disabled when wall running/jumping and dodging gets added, at least testing it would be a good idea
and yea it does revolve around timing, except you get like a 2 hour time frame to attack for each opportunity
No I mean a high level can’t really shut down a server in WoM by RKing everyone simply because the map is like really big also where is your suggestion could you link it.
