That would’ve been the smart choice, but much like Prometheus, Vetex does not have forethought when it comes to his actions
Yeah but he won’t end up with an eagle eating his liver
You never know
Sock already basically said this
Atomic does not equal nuclear, it’s just that nuclear stuff involves things at the atomic level. I think a long time ago Atomic Magic was once, not now, but once planned to be something that broke down magics and fired it back or something along those lines.
It is possible to assume that when these magics were created/mutated into existence. That it’s in theory possible that the gods could’ve been involved. Mostly saying this because stuff like Equinox, Sacrifice, Shatter, etc. These are all so supremely powerful, that it only makes sense that the first people to obtain these magics would have some relation to the gods or at least get their attention.
“WELL MY LEGENDARY HERO HAS A BIG-ASS-SWORD MAGIC!!!”
“WELL MY LEGENDARY HERO HAS AN ANTI-BIG-ASS-SWORD MAGIC!!!”

do not underestimate the power of ‘oh god what have we just done’
Except that electron emission isn’t all that spectacular. It just causes some glow, which would probably go unnoticed in the heat of battle.
in a battle yea, but there would definitely be magic researchers experimenting with stuff like that, if they find some interaction that glows they’ll absolutely study it
So fucking true man. It’s literally crazy how the first bit of lore in magius takes place in OUR 2000 AD. AND THAT’S JUST TALKING ABOUT THE FORMATION OF THE MAGIC COUNCIL…
These mfs have been around for like 10x the length the AG was around for, and accomplished less than 1% of what the AG achieved.
Something I’ve always had a headcanon for in WoM was the existence of AG remnants and smaller cells that operate as the “Official Continuation of the AG”. (kind of like Imperial Remnants from starwars)
And they’d be a neutral faction that unlike the Magic Council would conscript non magic-users, and would use guns n shit.
Technology in the AU ceased to make sense because Vetex wants Vikings fighting Ancient Sumerians fighting the World Government from One Piece fighting a Roman Successor State fighting British(?) people (or whatever the thorne empire is) and allat happening with restricted technology…
Actually in all fairness the Eastern Peninsula in WoM can be assumed to be incredibly underdeveloped when compared to what would’ve been the rest of the map, Ironport seems decently advanced, and I think Summerhold’s design is just a cultural architecture thing.
The Eastern Peninsula was historically always plagued by threats, especially Old Sea Vikings, plus it’s isolated from the Magic Council’s HQ by a desert and a swamp so ehh.
The descendants of Sky-island inhabitants seemed to be pretty tech-savvy, with them invented Neutral-Magic circles to make new Sky Islands
But again… the lack of guns and the fact there are STILL ruins from the creation of Magius and the War Ages… Conclusion: Vetex ignored realism for the map to look a bit cooler
(extremely loud)
The concept of atoms has existed since Leucippus, a 5th century BCE Greek philosopher.
Autism?
chaser deepwoken build ruthless blood paladin
Blood magic conjurer build in 2038

i want to play as chaser deepwoken

nuh uh
scientifically you would rather play as morock
