Infinite time, infinite budget, and two thousand loyal, hardworking devs who also have infinite time, infinite budget, and will keep working until they die.
Let fucking make SOA in real life.
This includes the death-trap, but only for those 100 extreme critics. They can go fuck themselves.
Yeah I’d just make Shangri-La Frontier (amazing anime, it’s like SOA if it was actually good and didn’t lose the plot after half a season (to summarize the game quickly, vr mmorpg that’s so big it’s basically impossible for one person to see it all, has combat with a high skill ceiling, a ton of lore, and a lot of unlocking certain things like skill upgrades and quests through specific conditions instead of a npc), same unique monsters and all but with one change:
The game would have extremely in depth black smithing. You could still buy premade weapons from NPC’s or give them materials for them to make you a weapon, but for certain people (like me) there would be a complicated but rewarding black smithing system, letting players shape their weapon themselves and add things like sockets to put gems in, with everything providing some sort of benefit and helping to decide the stats of the weapon. Think of a cross between TOTK’s fusing, Township Tales blacksmithing, and Potion Crafts experimenting.
To be honest I’ve just always wanted a good blacksmithing game, closest I’ve found is A Township Tale but none of my friends enjoy it.
So basically you know those MMOs which are advertised like ‘You can do anything you dream of’
yeah so basically I have 2000 immortal god devs that’s becoming actually everything
You will be able to customise your character fully, choose anywhere in the world to spawn in, learn combat skills, generic life skills, and explore the entire world… if you have the time to walk across it. If I have infinite possibilities I’m using infinite possibilities.
Every city, every town, will have its own population which can do basically whatever the players can also do. You can kill this guy’s mother and he will track you down across the entire world to kill you.
You can discover potentially hundreds of deities to call upon for power, each granting you potentially unique abilities temporarily.
And you will be able to fish.
imagine that
The game will also follow the actual events of the universe, and some of the 2k devs can do a Helldivers and be ‘Dungeon Masters’ to trigger and manipulate the world in live-service fashion. The trick to keep the critics happy? Have too much stuff for them to review, hence they’ll never actually be able to create a fully fair and accurate review or something
It looks… better… almost like someone changed the quality of the drawing… like changing video settings from 144p to 1440p60 (HD)… very good, i support your transition
