but to summarize, we decided to make our own Innovation Awards with games that we think deserve a spotlight. For little over a week forumers have suggested games that they think are worthy of being nominated for the FORUM Innovation Awards and the categories which we will nominate games for, and now it is time to vote.

now as much as i love AO

i aint voting it for writing
most characters have character development OFFSCREEN

thats the biggest waste of writing known to man tbh

Being turn-based doesn’t make it a strategy game. Now, does the game have strategic elements? Sure. But what matters more is the execution oftentimes.

Now that said, I love Block Tales and think it should be nominated for every single category. Including shooter and horror somehow.

I mean, sure it’s a classic. And sure, most of us have played it. But like… the game’s only eh? Barebones mechanics, repetitive gameplay, nothing to really change or spice up. It’s a decent game, but it’s only really worth 4-5 hours of your time at most.

Im sorry isn’t every classic game repetitive? I would take the game that has a bunch of randomly generated events inside multiple maps over doomspire

Vetex though he could pull something similar to a year time skip without enough build-up

Super Doomspire has multiple maps, a variety of weapons, and several gamemodes.

Now, if you’re referring to the original Doomspire, then yes. There was none of that. Super’s the one on the list, though.

AO writing is terrible no doubt

Centura has good lore, but in terms of a story idk man that’s not rlly the focus of the game

What even is RPG elevator

Entry Point is rlly the only one here with a story with twists and development
