alienating players, not feeling like a part of a proper community
It’s very clear that community opinions and ideas are almost entirely ignored.
I’ve already tried my own ways to possibly contribute to the game with suggestions and so have alot of people but it’s clear that suggestions are ignored and player opinions aren’t noted
People don’t feel like they are heard at all and are ignored, this causes people to build distaste for the game
The few community requests that do reach the dev team are usually denied with them almost feeling questionable
A while back a post came out that showed vetex mentioning that the reason one of the Halloween seasonals couldn’t be dyed (sinister gaze) was due to “lore reasons” and because of “other ideas he had”
This reasoning feels almost nonsense, your telling me that events are lore accurate now?
headless is a lore accurate item now? doesn’t make sense
Another example?
Many people noticed that solid magic imbuement looks horrifying to look at?
Everyone knows the earth imbue joke at this point
A few testers AND players suggested to make solid imbuement purely change the texture of weapons
and on paper? amazing ideas, fixes so much effort and will make the weapon look cool right?
well no, It’s actually done on purpose… Why? cuz Vetex doesn’t want solid imbues to look like weapons made of magic? what?
another nonsense approach, stop making things look bad for no good reason.
I have no idea how the Dev team can just ignore a massively requested change that would take no effort or sacrifice to do
(I’m sure people can come up with way better examples but these are ones that came to my mind first)
Ignoring every community idea and essentially reducing the fun factor for players for bad reasons isn’t good practice
thou difficult, Devs should take the time to actually communicate with the community, else it feels like the games on a journey where the players were never a part of it
this is especially bad when Vetex has already put his reputation a bit low in the community with a lot of players disliking him, It would be wise to put together a better approach and build a better relation with the community
Ignoring and limiting people just makes things look bad
Good way to start?
Start to actually review the Suggestions section, use a “accepted/deny” system so the community at least feels like their efforts on ideas are actually being heard
Ghosting us isn’t doing the dev team or us any favors at all
Publicly take on community ideas and credit community members for ideas that were dropped into the game, this would make players feel more noticed
it’s important that player opinion take more consideration, the game is still designed to appeal for players, not only the developer.
if you do something that literally everyone hates then don’t do it.
