Are you fr ignoring how classes are intended to be . Again, youâre only basing your argument from what we have access early game.
Then again, youâre making it obvious that you donât pvp at all so I guess itâs understandable that you donât realize how easy it is to use magic, especially with the right build compared to other classes.
It kinda is supposed to be that way ngl, unless Vetex changes everything to just be visual change.
As of right now, classes are intended to be as the following playstyles based on abilities:
Magic = zoning
Fighting Style = rush combo
Weapon = versatility
Spirit = pressure
Anyone who pvps in this game for more than a month would already know by now that classes arent equal to each other and would be more obvious once more progression is added.
If all classes were to be made equal, then all we should have are visual changes.
Didnât mean the game is balanced around one class being the strongest, it really isnât that hard to understand that easy-to-use would have an advantage on what takes skill to use. Mage just needs to aim their skills near the enemy meanwhile other classes require accurate aiming, speaking of accuracy, pair pulsar or barrage with it and it would most definitely be aids.
Warlord would be better ngl with its clashrates and size against warlock since for some reason, weapons almost always win against clashes with magic. Thereâs also how fall damage would exist in full release which means most fights would be ground based which is where warlord excels at, and attack speed being viable.
Meta exists quite literally because classes are different you know, and when theyâre different, there would always be a meta no matter how much balance it takes.
yeah but warlord gets outdpsed in close range and warlock has beam + shot spam so its strong in mid range, they are literally both a tier classes i have no idea where you getting ts from..
Hecate essence will be changed when lost magics are added. The QNA heavily implies that you will only need to care about it after your second awakening.
For now, you can just make a new save with a new magic. As someone who makes a new file whenever I get back into the game, i can confirm itâs way faster than looking for the essence/acrimony/whatever.
Op wanted to keep the hours theyâve invested in their file, item transferring would become easier to do in full release, what else is it referring to aside from player stats thoâŚ
Well, I just logged back on today, and came back to this.
I wouldnât say I didnât see this coming, with the absolute war that happened in the other hecate post. I just want to add something.
The problem with Hecate Essence is that it is the most RNG-reliant way of character customization in the entire game. If you want a stat reset, you can buy an acrimony. If you want to change your fighting style, you go to a mentor. If you want to change your weapon, you can equip a new one in the inventory. I would be fine with Hecate Essence if there was a constant. The idea with Hecate Pity sounds good, and honestly that might be the best idea to come out of this. But, I guess Iâve already gotten what I wanted, since someone already confirmed that Hecate Hunting was going to be changed in full release. Weâll have to see how itâs going to be changed, though.
I like experimenting with my characterâs magic to check out synergies and imbuements. I donât want to start another file just to test out the magic I want to switch to, because itâs a waste of time, since Iâm just going to delete the file after.
Iâm sorry if I was ever rude to anyone, I was frustrated from Hecate Hunting myself, so I took that out on here. I wanted to hop on the âHecate Essence needs to be easierâ bandwagon.
Not sure if I should close the post here, but Iâll let you guys decide.
Almost everyone thinks hecate essence needs changes, and if you talk to the people that disagree, youâll usually find delusional nonsense like mage being planned to be the objectively best class.
prove the classes are unequal?
yes mages are CURRENTLY better than most other builds in the game but itâs nothing balancing canât fix, longer cds for blast, lowering size efficiency and other changes like that (which are literally planned) will bring mage in check
honestly if ima be honest mage isnt even TJHAT broken. the bigger problems are powerstacking and stat bloat
Mage in full release when its stuck with the worst mobility options; hardly impressive range; and few ways to converse in cqc when it sees Weapon and Spirit builds:
imo, Magic might be one of the few classes that struggles for full release.
Spirit unironically has a counter to 90% of mage (Ability to block projectiles, best movement ability in game, Same ridiculous range and AOE, ability to slow from range, high damage, and better CqC moves)
Weapons is basically the same just without the utility moves (still has the best mobility in game, also a good variety of ranged tools with great size, high damage, can now ALSO inflict slows from a distance with the new status, better CqC moves)
it might only do fine against Strength builds, but as soon as strength builds get close theyâll almost always out-damage mage, and its not like Mage has any good evasion moves aside from leap and MAYBE hasta. Crash will allow strength users to chase people easily because of its speed and range.
Personally, Mage is gonna get hit hard this update, maybe alongside Berserker and Warlock, but again, crash can chase SwordStep/SpiritWalk, leap cant.
