I know this was probably a joke/barely thought out, but this honestly would be a merely acceptable compromise (assuming current hecate stays and that the timer is more reasonable like 20 hours).
Player’s get a guaranteed magic reset with tangible progress while Vetex gets a premium payout farm and exactly what he asked for (choosing exactly how long it takes before someone can “flip flop” their build).
It’d still be very anti-player to force a wait to let them play the content of the game, and probably miserable to try to find an afk zone in a global pvp game, but still better than what we have rn.
Also, since I’m in this thread, I wanna give props to TheoreticalExistence for having the courage to speak up about this and fight off (basically ratio now) the haters.

One thing really puzzles me about the people trying to defend hecate essence.
If they can’t make a single actual point to support their argument, why are they still arguing???
So far the strongest ““point”” anyone’s made is… “vetex said so”.
I’m including vetex’s own argument in this not-a-single-actual-point because if you read his message and think about it for more than 3 seconds the argument disintegrates into nothing.
Yeah… Thats a fair point! It is vetex’s game and his reasoning… I do wish there were certain points maybe brung up by mr. vetex though instead of just hecate having to be extremely hard to get!

I think the best compromise is to just put one Hecate Essence hidden randomly on the south edge of Mount Othrys or something.
It’s a little bit harder than just pressing the free switch button, more intuitive than just waiting, and not the current system.
It’d still be the second hardest thing to reset, hardest if you count Titan Caverns.
Magic users having to go on a suicide run just to change their first magic once while their non-magic counterpart (strength) can just talk to Gregg and pay a small galleon fee to change their fighting style
Rare item: Hecate Crumb, obtained randomly in chests, allows you to make a Hecate Potion and change your magic.
I think perhaps difficulty should still be involved… And not as RNG dependant as an acrimony! Magic is indeed in our very soul and genetic code, but it shouldnt be how it is now!

brother its been 4 months since the update and he’s said the word hecate one time, I think he might be avoiding the subject.
also its been 10 days since I pinged the guy, usually people respond by then.
He literally talked about drop rate with acrimony and Hecate in general yesterday
