Gameplay with magic largely varies with different speeds in most cases. If they donât like a slow magic they can just make another file and try out a fast magic.
You donât always have that choice.
Personally I doubt thisâll ever be the case anyways. Vetex is just one dev and itâd be insanely tedious and maybe even a headache to do all of that.
Itâd give you something to do while searching for Hecate essence, possibly gear for future expeditions to make it easier.
They shouldnât have to make an entire new file to change a single part of their build.

Also Iâm going to just say this here for the sake of actual discussion since it hasnât been brought up: Remember the Far Reaches âBearsâ that were added relatively recently? The ones that made Crimsonpants wet their crimson pants? Hecate Essence has been actually made even harder to get in recent times, so take that as a sign or something.
Then they can do so later when they inevitably go into the Dark Sea to get better gear. Again, the only thing the Far Reaches has going for it is Hecate essence. In the future weâre going to be there for a lot more than just that anyways, so Hecate essence is more of a happy accident that like this one suggestion I made would be something Iâd like to bring a piece of with me.

They have options, theyâre free to use them. If they donât like magics through multiple attempts then they might just not like them. They have a free stat reset so theyâre also free to try something else too.

1: Solely for fun
2: Golden cauldrons
3: Golden cooking pots
4: Hecate essence
5: Epicenter

Because your thinking is so short sighted that it doesnât even matter at this point. The Dark Sea isnât done, the reasons for us being that far are incomplete. We arenât even meant to be there. Hecate essence is just an option we can utilize right now, but itâs placed in an area that weâre probably only meant to explore when Vimir Sea rolls around with lost magics. We donât even have a third magic to play around with, and new players wonât have the huge waits between each update for more content. Theyâll progress normally, explore the Dark Sea every one and a while to power up, and eventually by Vimir theyâll discover (or have heard of from others) about Lost Magics. Then theyâll go looking for those, probably in the Dark Sea (potentially the Far Reaches) if theyâre more common out there. Which only emphasizes why we should give players an option to take a piece of the Hecate essence with them for use later.

Iâm not considering what the far reaches will look like when weâve reached level 400 because thatâs 2 or 3 years in the future and thereâs no point even attempting to predict that.

You can think and believe what you want, but this isnât going to be changed. The gameâs unfinished, and Hecate essence was placed where it is for a reason. Vetex has made it clear in the past, we arenât supposed to be past insanity 1, and there is minimal incentive beyond the few things you outlined earlier to go that far. Itâs clearly something intended for later, not now, but we have the option there if we want it. The only reason Iâve suggested earlier the notion of deleting and redoing your file in earlier posts is because weâre still in the early game, so itâs easier to just do this and move on.
