I mean there’s no real answer to this question since some people find just being good a reward while other people find actual rewards the reward, same way some people find killing animals fun compared to normal people, or how some people want to go to war just for their mother land
I’m just going to say this once
There is no such thing as a good person. Yet at the same time, there is no such thing as being a bad person either.
Different people have certain ways of establishing who or what is good and who or what is bad.
You could have gone on a killing spree around town. To people who have the same twisted mind as you, you’ll be praised as the typical madman legend. But to the families of the people you have killed, you’ll be seen as a monster. The judge will probably see you in the same light as the family, and you will be punished accordingly.
Laws are supposed to be a way to keep order and balance. but some laws bring more suffering than anything else to people who want the freedom to express themself and go down the pathway that they choose. Yet laws exist because you don’t know how many of the people who are protesting and begging for change will go down a path of chaos.
Depending on different people’s virtues, that’s what you are. A good person, or a bad one. That’s why I believe there is no Good people or bad people on earth. You could be the nicest person, polite to everyone, obedient! Doesn’t make you a good person. You could be the worst person, hitting random people and screaming your doubts at the people who don’t deserve it! Nope… That doesn’t make you a bad person.
This may just be a stupid opinion. But I don’t need to repeat it over and over again for people to get the message. At the end of the day, we’re all just humans. Whether we’re good or bad is up to others. Like how people debate what shows are good, what games, what’s the best or worst prize! Nothing is really just “Good” or “Bad”… It’s just two mediocre points of view.

imo laws are an mix of cultural customs that could be followed even if there was no rigid enforcement, and tyrannical rules meant to solidify the position of those in power
