big difference in AR to WoM.
in AR you can kill anybody for infamy.
in WoM you can only attack guilds for infamy.

take the wom idea and mix it in with infamy for clan kills

oh I refused to touch the game during that period, the original guild update was awful.

besides removing pvp kills doesnā€™t promote pvp it kinda discourages pvp. Because they can always find a new island that most likely has the same infamy yield as the island they previously had before

maybe theyā€™ll get more infamy from taking an already claimed island

thats dumb and besides not everyone is going to fish on that island and camp it they are probs gonna be boss farming.

or more logically, why wouldnā€™t a guild in a server try to take as many islands as they can.

thatā€™s what was done in AR to manage the first legendary clan as quickly as it happened.
fighting for every island in as many servers as possible.

My point is you cant have 1 person taking over a server also it would be hard to fit everyone in a server while meeting conditions for infamy via island capture

The entire point in a clan is that thereā€™s more than one and you can approach and take over an area in force.

until all the other clan members leave the server thus making it useless unless you alt farm

no wayā€¦ :woozy_face:. at least iā€™ll stop the aerial pvp meta that quickly became prevalent in wom, i used to do guild wars and the fights were filled with people spamming jumps and low startup triple shot spells.

oh yeah i hate the aerial pvp meta but those weapon pvp leaks made it look like itā€™s still prevalent

Something about the game just feels a tad bit too familiar, but I canā€™t put my finger on it besides all those One Piece ā€œgamesā€ on Roblox. It feels as if we have done this song and dance a billion times. However I have faith the game will do well.

Developing is his literal job so he kinda has to do it. Him having fun speaks well for AO cause if he was developing something he didnā€™t enjoy it would be more likely for him to move to another project.

Clans having positive reception in the community is definitely more beneficial than having negative stigma around them. A large portion of the gameā€™s players are involved in clans/guilds so if that portion becomes toxic itā€™ll definitely be seen as a reflection of the gameā€™s community.

Vetex has said that the plans for clans/infamy will still incentivize pvp, so Iā€™m assuming itā€™s a more efficient form of progression compared to RKing. Plus, itā€™s not like RKing is suddenly banned from the game you can still do it anyways

Can that not be said about how infamy gain is rn? Larger guilds will naturally have an advantage over smaller ones. And with the planned requirements for infamy gain from island capturing in AO, I could even see clan size not being as big of a factor as it is in WoM

Not really? Alt farming is way easier via RKing for infamy. Unless you can somehow manage to load multiple alts into different servers and capture/defend an island in each of those servers I donā€™t see how itā€™s more a usable than the current system
