Kinda late but what do you guys think about this?

I shouldn’t have to pay to progress my file faster I feel like that should be a base mechanic

Not necessarily but it’s the fact that it’s planed to be multiple products per 100 levels

Never said the product is predatory I just feel it’s kinda greedy.

Rouge like or not I feel like ao would greatly benefit from a quality life feature such as this but I don’t think it needs to be behind a pay wall

As for how it’d work would require some changes to the anti cheat but even simply getting to skip storyline quests and a slight exp boost for each slot maxed would be nice

idk i think it is kinda fair? he would lose out on a lot of money, so i think he would still lose money from that, so i think it’s fair he loses a bit less?

I’ve always found the design philosophy of “pay to literally play the game LESS” to be weird. Wouldn’t the logical conclusion be to just not play the game?

We need a better storyline, not the ability to nope on past it.

Hmm…
I honestly think that it should be more of an achievment thing maybe. I don’t think letting player skip 71.43% of the game with money is a good idea.
Maybe, something like letting a player who plays the game for an amount of time create a new file on that level? Maybe like 100 hours of something, and you get the option to make a new lvl 100 file and transfer just a few items. No boss drops, sunkens, exotic enchants, scales, nothing like that, more like rare gems and scrolls, equipment from chests or enemy drops, stuff that isn’t really valuable, but to not drop you without anything.
Letting players just skip stuff entirely and locking it behind a paywall is a big nono.

The economy is terrible now a days and you expect Vetex to just give up on this free money making scheme? Get real

Honestly I just want leveling in between storyline bits to be faster also a skip cutscene option

Tbh though, if he wanted to make money, he should have made some lazy cash-grab game like sol’s rng, not AO.

People are acting as if they knew exact price for each lvl jump. :sob:

Well I guess he wanted to make money doing something he wants to do rather than make a crappy game like that, if you can even call it a game

I’m just saying it’s kinda crazy we’re getting 6 of em

Yes skip cutscene is literally necessary for gameplay purposes. I am literally stuck out of progressing through storyline because of those shitty Sun palace cutscenes. You’d think some camera movement in a single room and a yap session wouldn’t be an issue, but it took me months to complete first Nilah cutscene. I still have to get past the second one where they yap about military shit and war and send you to sky islands.

I feel like the game by definition is an MMO

AO is like, more of an MMO than it is anything else.
Only difference is that it’s not a trashy Runescape clone like that new “Devas Of Creation” game.

I agree and do think Jewelcrafting progression could have been handled a lot better; instead of having your rank tied to directly stats it could have instead been tied to something less prominent like the amount of substat you get or the chances of you getting the max %age of the substat.

won’t this be considered affecting gameplay, smth Vetex said he wouldn’t do

Where did you get this from?
I didn’t see anywhere implying you have to buy this more than once, I saw it saying the price would increase over time together with the levels gained
I can see an interpretation of new gamepasses for every 100 levels tough, but that doesn’t seem too convenient.
It sounds more like you will buy it once and be abllowed to choose to start at level 100 (eventually changed to 200) or 1 in all your files

Personally, I think there should’ve been a “jewel polishing” system where you could sacrifice a lower tier gem and galleons to upgrade a crafted jewel. This would cost less as the player gained Jewelcrafting levels, and would be unnecessary at max level.

To register it for you to level up it should make you read and watch all the cutscenes without skipping thru them… (It would have a timer on the bottom of the screen before you could click the dialogue so you wouldnt beat able to skip it)

resetting your magic wont be easy either lol

Far easier than resetting class, although resetting class probably should be rarer considering every other class can easily change what they are using except mage.
