Hercules… What is this Roman nonsense? Literally unplayable.
(The above is a joke)
In all seriousness the lore reveals in this are really interesting, especially with the Order wanting to save the world, which I’ve kinda had a theory about, though it was very much a destroy the world in order to save it type beat, which the Order doesn’t seem to be going toward. Still really excited to see what’s coming with the story.
I was always under the impression the order would probably be wanting to wake up the aberration or something to end the world, but saving they want to save it makes a lot better of a motivation with how the ends don’t justify the means and all that. They can have a much more interesting and nuanced goal while still being evil, hopefully it’s done well.
The rifts were built with Colossal titans. Hundreds of colossal titans, standing shoulder to shoulder, line the War Seas. The Order’s goal is to release these titans and march them acro- wait uh wrong fandom nvm
We know that the reunification of 3 god souls are required, but what the heck would the order do (I still think their ultimate intention is pretty cool)
Honestly I really like how more lore has been revealed. I honestly don’t like it when the community shrugs off unanswered questions as “it was never thought of” (besides a few that are really justifiable) because we really do not know much about the lore of AO. We only know tiny fractions at the moment of something that is extremely big. Heck, I bet the lore document Vetex has (not the one we have) is at the very least 100 pages (considering mine for my worldbuilding project is 200 though thats because there is a lot of item lists) like most lore documents should be.
I’m wondering if the Order’s goals are actually pretty noble, but they know their morally dubious methods would be condemned by the good guys, so they lean into the evil shtick while keeping lower-downs (even Calvus) in the dark about their goals.
I mean, you have to remember he served Hades. He is literally the Underworld’s #1 nepo baby, of course he would get into Elysium.
Arthur, on the other hand, probably wouldn’t since he fought against/defied the gods, it would make more sense if someone like him had to fight his way in
Mhm cuz if they don’t they are most likely poorly written (unless they have some sort of impossible, almost insane dream they are reaching out for or some other reason).
Ooh good point I forgot that the gods’ chosen could also be sent to Elysium. Though I personally like to think that not only did Hades only view Durza as a means to an end, he was disgusted with Durza’s usage of his brothers’ bodies as puppets and was happy to give Durza the express ticket to Tartarus
Granted this is partially building off of my personal headcanon that Hades did what he did with Durza mainly to get back at humanity for being the root cause of the obliteration of his family/species and way of life, not the canon “muahaha I’m evil and testing the limits of pure dark magic ” Hades
But if Hades did decide to send Durza to Elysium to screw with everybody, maybe Zeus and Poseidon (and maybe even Prometheus?) can combine what little remaining power they have to veto that given Durza desecrated their corpses and turned them into undead puppets lol
This confusion isn’t just modern and existed in the past aswell, and both these entities ultimately blended together and became, Kronos/Cronus the King of the Titans, God of Agriculture, and yes also the Ruler of Time.
So the order wants to:
A.Save the world
B.Harness the full power of magic
C.Release an ancient power.
So here’s my crack theory:
I think the order wants to free the aberration and harness it’s power somehow, they experiment on legacies because of their ability to absorb souls (isn’t stated to be a legacy only thing but bear with me) so that they can do the same thing with the aberration (probably split it among the warlords since it would be too much for one person). Which will go horribly wrong and we’ll have to fight the newly released aberration. And at the final moment morden sacrifices himself theos style to kill it.
(Last part is cliché but it’s ao so pretty likely)
