Make your own fighting style!

I recently started a topic where you make your own magic. So now, it’s time for Fighting Styles! Make an original, funny and very interesting fighting style idea for enternaining purpose, and then, we will choose the winner of this Discussion!

I’ll start it with my own idea, but it was originally my Suggestions fighting style, but since I still didnt get applied I will write it here. Note, that this idea I will write here is OLD version of the FS. The New version is going into Suggestions right after I get applied. The Old version is of course no longer a part of the Suggestion I will be making, but i’ll add it here in case it’s really interesting.

Divergence Fist - Old Version

Name, description:

Divergence Fist - A fighting style which uses dark energy and precise strikes to deviate the main hit into multiple strikes in order to attack several enemies or one with stronger power.

Icon:

A midnight trailed hand with multiple sparks (of the same color) on it.

Of course, the general color of this fighting style is Midnight.

Stats:

Damage: 0,7
Size: 1,3
Speed: 1,1

Where to obtain?

Most possible answer - an NPC. It could be obtained by completing that NPC’s quest and then, like the other quests for Fighting Styles, buy it for a price.
I thought it would be a good idea to add it on some island in the next update, but then decided that it should be in the Dark Sea, since Divergence Fist uses dark energy.

Summary:

Path 1:
Divergence Fist will be sold by a special NPC who can be found only in range 1, where insanity is not implemented yet. This NPC can spawn on any dark sea island with a chance of 1/7.
After interacting with him, he’ll start off agressively, but then calm down and you could either leave him alone or help him, starting the questline.
“Mayhem in the Darkness” - is the name of the Quest. When accepting this quest, 5 lesser atlanteans spawn on the island automatically. You’ll have to find them all and of course destroy them. After doing so, you have to find that NPC again (It doesn’t despawn like Hecate Essence does.) on the island since you have to Quest marks in dark sea (I think?) and then interact with him. Unlike every other fighting style currently, buying Divergence Fist doesn’t require you to pay galleons.
It rather requires you to have at least 10 black shards in your inventory and 120 stat points invested into Strenght.
If you somehow lose this NPC or even die in dark sea, you won’t have to repeat the questline again after finding it once more.

Path 2:
Alternative to the Path 1 in case it’s not reliable.
Instead of a NPC, you need to find a Midnight colored Ghost with Aura of the same color. The difference is that this Ghost spawns only in Far Reaches (Insanity 3 and more).
It’s a bit similar to the Path 1, however, instead of killing 5 Atlanteans you need to destroy only one, however it is much stronger. After that the Ghost will immediately teach you Divergence Fist without any cost except Stat point investment, before fading away. You can find it again with the same 1/7 chance on another island, though.

Passives:

Divergence - This is a passive EXCLUSIVE to Divergence Fist. Each hit, when initiated will then burst and split into multiple glowing midnight ripples (bursts, or vortexes) which deal additional damage to the enemy in radius. Each burst deals only 30% of the initial hit. Those bursts deal damage to everyone in the radius.

Scatter - A status effect which applies the Divergence Fist’s bursts on the target, not on specific radius. Guaranteed hits. It can be applied only on specific attacks.

Shattered - A negative status effect which reduces damage reduction of the victim by 12%. This status effect can be applied only if your attack deals 20% of enemy’s HP or more.

Synergies:

Divergence Fist automatically applies “Shattered” on Frozen enemies, which clears the effect. It also works on Petrified enemies.
Automatically Applies Shattered on Charred enemies but with 50% effeciency.

Deals 15% more damage against Drained targets.
Deals 12% more damage against Freezing, Petrified and Charred targets.
Deals 10% more damage against Frozen targets.
Deals 5% more damage against Paralyzed and Crystallized targets.

Techniques:

M1s - Each hit is kinda similar to every other fighting style (except Cannon Fist), however when actually hit a target, it will have the Scatter status effect for 2 seconds. 3 bursts, each one of them deals 30% of the initial hit’s damage.

Crash - The User leaves midnight vortexes behind him while flying, and when hit creates a lot of those bursts forwards. Increases the range of the attack in general. Each burst, however, deals only 8% of the initial hit’s damage.

Smash - When Explosion appears, it then creates 4 more smaller bursts which deal damage in their radius.

Rushdown - almost no changes except that it deals Scatter status effect which creates only 1 additional burst per hit an deals 2% of the initial hit’s damage.

Shot - After the main shot, emanates 4 smaller shots, each deals 8% of the initial hit’s damage.

Other techniques AREN’T affected, but rare Techniques are.

My jujutsu has been kaisen’d

funny, but i’m unsure what you mean by that

His jujutsu has been kaisen’d

His jujutsu definitely has been kaisen’d

i think dark energy is not a thing in ao… and you know how is vetex, this needs lore and immersion reasons

Vampirism: Murcielago

Murcielago is a Vampirism upgrade that has more bat-themed skills and visuals, allowing the user to summon swarms of bats and turn into a bat to avoid attacks.

Murcielago’s dodge reflex causes the user to briefly manifest bat wings, allowing for vertical mobility, and if the user has Aether Lightning specifically, the style gets a small speed buff (assuming warlocks can upgrade lost styles which they probably won’t)

Distorted Fist

Distorted Fist is a unique lost style that allows the user to cause spatial distortions using immense amounts of trace energy. Right after using a technique or imbued weapon skill, the user visually warps in and out of existence, giving them a bit of iframes.
The dodge reflex would work like current instant reflexes, but with iframes.

Polarity Fist - Lost-tier fighting style

Style Info

A form of forgotten martial arts that involves extensive training to mimic magnetic fields with your aura. The style focuses exclusively on upper-body techniques with your arms being covered in a cloud of red & blue lightning.

When creating a technique, the player can choose whether to make it ‘negatively’ or ‘positively’ charged. Depending on the ‘charge’ chosen will determine what charge the attack with inflict against enemies. Striking enemies with the same charge as the technique will deal increased damage and knock them back further. Enemies with an opposite charge will instead receive less damage but will have inversed knockback.

Im a little obsessed with dark energy so dont mind me

Also it may mean the dark sea magic pollution but oh well

LASER FIST
SHOOT LASERS
100x Damage .3 Size 200x Speed
Applies scorched status effect

I see. Now i’ll have to make a third thread.

ye if we dont take vetex boooooring immersion, it could work… maybe it needs a negative synergy with light too cus… it has a synergy with drained
and why frozen triggers shattered

sounds cool but not ao friendly
except if vetex makes vampires canon and i think distortion is already a custom magic

Go ahead.

Written by V-man himself.

The reason why Frozen effect triggers Shattered is because when Divergence Fist casts such strong force strikes on the Frozen enemy it shatters the Ice so hard it break through, dealing even more damage to the victim along with Ice shattered fragments damaging you.

woa, okay so… ao has vampires alright

it should work with petrify too

I don’t know if I’ve ever posted this, but this was also back when upgraded fighting styles were planned. I don’t know if they still are or if Berserkers are gonna be stuck with lost fighting styles instead of having any ancient equivalents.

Fighting Style, might be too strong

Asura Fighting Style
Tier: Lost
Description: An old yet incomplete fighting style formed by a group of power hungry martial artists seeking to obtain the strength of gods. This fighting is yet imperfect, may whomever adopt this fighting style perfect it into its intended and true state.

Gimmicks:
Cosmetic Mode Changes - Alters mode techniques into a cosmetic variant that summons four additional limbs of willpower. More advanced versions will alter the visuals of these limbs, perhaps making them appear denser.

Burst Mode Mechanic - Adds a bar that fills over time in combat, when dealing damage, or taking damage. When you kill an enemy player, this’ll fill to the max. Upon the bar filling to the max, allows the user to unleash a Burst Mode state which comes with a +40% regeneration buff.

Base Stats:
Base → Mode → Burst Mode
Damage: 0.925x → 0.925x → 0.95x
Attack Size: 1.0x → 1.1x → 1.2x
Attack Speed: 0.75x → 0.875x → 1.0x
Destruction: 1.0x → 1.1x → 1.25x

Note: Fighting Style has initial low speed stats, and focuses more on raw power.

Visuals:

  • Base/Mode - Additional limbs and effects have a white aura, base fighting style radiates a small aura around the player.
  • Burst Mode - Limbs, Aura, and Effects all become a crimson red color.

Wrathful Asura Fighting Style
Tier: Ancient
Description: The perfected version of the original Asura Fighting Style, utilizing wrath as the final ingredient in its creation.

Changes:
The Mode Variant of the Lost Fighting Style is active at all times, Burst becomes the new base mode, and unlocks a Wrathful state that’s built up the same way Burst Mode is with the Lost Fighting Style.

Base Stats:
Base → Burst Mode → Wrathful Mode
Damage: 0.95x → 0.95x → 1.0x
Attack Size: 1.1x → 1.2x → 1.25x
Attack Speed: 1.0x → 1.1x → 1.1x
Destruction: 1.1x → 1.25x → 1.4x

Wrathful Mode Gimmicks:
Wrathful mode, unlike Burst Mode, has a reduced duration (¼), but can be maintained by dealing damage. So the more enemies present, the longer and easier it is to maintain Wrathful Mode by, capped at ⅔ of the original duration of the mode. Furthermore, Wrathful Mode lacks the regen buff of Burst Mode in favor of a 10% life steal with a 0.1 second CD.
