I unironically find that weaker characters tend to be way more interesting than overpowered ones, not to mention better written.
realest shit ever
a few days ago i put diane thru a mary sue test and this is what i got
honestly i think its only that high due to the fact she is not human ![]()
Can you link the test?
can you link the test?
some of the questions in that test are so weirdly specific lol
i think some of them come from the specific recoccuring aspects that come from these types of characters
like its just a thing where whenever you see an oc described with certain features like unnaturally colored eyes or a necklace that was a present from their late mother that gives them magical powers that makes you go “…this is gonna be a mary sue, isnt it?”
can i try? ![]()

Tested this against my main fellow, Aritz Arcturus.
Honestly, I’ll take the 13% considering how much inspiration I took from Dante Sparda for him. …And the shitpost + beat em’ up factor he has.
I blame part of this score on the white hair he has.

I did the test for Moon Matthews ![]()

everyones scores are so low ![]()

diane was doomed from the start:
- has amnesia
- doesnt know parents
- not human
- unnatural eyes
- oc x canon (with a villain)
- everyone hates her
- from dark sea
- breaks canon logic (dark sea monster with human intelligence)
and generally being very different from everyone due to the fact she is a creature
i DID retake it for her and got a bit less tho
Okay in all fairness, we don’t know if Sirens are intelligent or not
I feel like this test just doesn’t account for a lot of things
