Aren’t monkey’s paws supposed to be made by twisting the meaning of the wish? Not just “I want a bigger brain” “your balls explode”, aren’t they supposed to be “I want a bigger brain” “brain tumor”?
Yeah it’s supposed to give you want you want but in a way where you’ll regret asking for it
in the original story there was something like “i wish my son came back to life” and he came back looking like godrick the grafted
Yeah they asked for money and their son died in a workplace accident so they got compensation and then they wished for their son back and he revived inside the grave and crawled back all fucked up
