i put in all this effort to save the world, and this buffoon on the sidelines says “I-I don’t want to fight…” DOES IT LOOK LIKE A GIVE A SHIT? YOU CAN KILL A MAN WITH ONE BLAST. SO DO IT.
god i hate him so much anyone who likes him clearly is easily manipulated, because this man child got the death curse and doesn’t even want to use it. I PRAY that whatever he did to Julius traumatized him so much that he doesn’t want to use to abilities ever again, because if he didn’t, then I’m gonna go back to Fort talos and get that dumb curse stealing sword, and drive it through his fucking chest. I could be at the chimera sea if the cabbage faced, toe-tongue, nimrod actually locked in and helped me kill everyone.
Honestly, I really hope Morden dies in the Aegean See. He’s insufferable (then again, the entire main cast is ) and he doesn’t deserve the curse he was given. Killing off such a powerful character would easily set up whoever killed him as a character that is an actual threat to the party. If it means Vetex gets to toss out the trash at the same time, it’s a good idea.
Morden is the embodiment of Curse Users being frauds. His power comes not from effort, skill, or knowledge, but through luck. Getting to the curse before Calvus? Luck! The curse happening to be absurdly overpowered? LUCK! All it takes to kill him is a sensing-capable (specifically, being able to mask their presence) person with a devourer.
Having the main villain of the Aegean Sea a magic-less warrior who relies on pure skill would be great - someone in their prime with many tools they can utilize to stomp down on those who would threaten the Order.
TL;DR: Morden sucks, he’s a fraud, have the aegean sea villain kill him off with a devourer.
lowkey i think morden didn’t fight at forest of masts because he’d legit oneshot anyone there and end up killing them, he’s so strong he’s afraid of accidentally causing a massacre
he had no choice, if calvus got it he’d use it for killing more people
yeah no wonder it’s a “curse”!!! hahahahaha fuck you
idk if i’m losing my mind but iirc there were 2 rowboats at dawn island so morden probably got his sailboat during his time at palo town
whats wrong with that he literally came along
wasn’t he sneaking through ravenna’s forces or whatever
i don’t think that was him since the miners clearly tried escaping once they saw an opportunity such as our friends blasting the place and ended up getting caught by some fodder ravenna soldiers
guys don’t forget that if morden wasn’t there for us, calvus would have absorbed the death curse and the story would end at the eternal mines
and blast explodes, every magic attack does actually; what if he did that and it hit us and we die?
Does nobody else see the downside of instantly killing anything hit with no way to revert it???
Like its portrayed in AO pretty poorly, but given how lost magics gave Iris the ability to cause global warming on a giant iceberg (whilst being way weaker than when we see her at Ravenna / AO being scaled down); and Calvus the giant-ass attacks he already possesses. imagine how large Death Magic is, and then bro got the curse. He’d kill everything in a 10km radius from trying to do half the stuff we want him to, us included.
Becuase of the aformentioned reasons, i feel like we should make a “Morden Rant and a call for answers regarding him” discussion, so that Vetex can rewrite the early story and make morden less of a fraud!
