I don’t care about your opinions, I saw another swordburst user, you now have my spear (THE SUPERIOR SB WEAPON) whenever you need it, my friend.
One of them was about me, and the other was not? There isn’t a contradiction here if you pay attention to what I’m saying.
I doubt this, but you do you if you want to boost my ego this much.
I’ve seen tons - alot of people enjoy climbing up the learning curve and becoming better, for me I definitely enjoyed seeing progress and improving despite the speed it went at, and I assume I’m not alone on such a view.
Likewise, you’re acting like a pest anywhere outside of your Hecate Essence rant so I’m going to hide your posts, cya.
Yes king oorah!
Goated
See, consent is the key to have an enjoyable pvp experience for both parties, even I can enjoy pvp that way, with my crappy ping and fps.
Explain this please, because It just sounds like power tripping to me.
- You’re unfamiliar with the person’s playstyle
- You don’t know how much better someone you’re ganking is (in alot of cases - pk’s determine close to nothing)
- Opportunity for a varied setting depending on where you’re ganking someone
Overall it’s more about a fresh feeling which provides much more self satisfaction which you just can’t get at arenas.
My severe nerve damage when I’m being ganked when I’m the minimum pvp level because I can’t fight back well enough due to AO making me use my ENTIRE KEYBOARD, which means I have to watch my hands but that means I can’t watch the screen, giving me a tendency to miss and then be ganked.
I hate the PVP. I can’t stress that enough. I can handle CW, Bad Business, even Mordhau, but NOT AO’s style.
Honestly, I disagree with this topic.
I am not a PvP player.
I only play PvE.
I play from release and my total PKs can be counted on the fingers of one hand and a half.
If I end up in combat I usually know that I’m gonna die.
But I like open-world PvP.
It’s one of the reasons why I like this game so much.
It’s realistic, it’s thrilling and it gives the game a spark.
Was I angry when I was hunted?
Yes, of course, but just to the extent of being angry for a game.
Did I use agility?
Of course, my one and only file is att.spd-agility built because I like to go fast and attack fast.
But now that agility is going to be deleted I guess I’ll focus on att.spd alone, since mobility skills are gonna scale with that probably.
This is highly triumphant and well said, props to you.
(everyone else is on my case on this thread help)
But what if the person you’re ganking doesn’t fight back at all? do you still get the satisfaction?
That’s dependant on so many conditions, a few of which fall into the following;
- Am I doing this gank for Infamy?
- Am I doing this gank for Renown?
- If they’re not fighting - are they running? (which if so - winning does feel alot more rewarding)
If they do nothing whatsoever and have no reason to be ganked, sure there’s a slim chance I’ll stop, but it isn’t zero if I’m committed.
I am so sorry but you are wording this like those middle schoolers who would say “I laugh when someone dies in a horror movie” and stuff like that. It’s very funny to me but it is coming off as slightly “power trip” heavy. Like- randomly ganking HIGH LEVELS is fine, but would you gank a level 55-60?

If you asked me around a year ago I’d probably say yes ironically, but no I don’t gank low levels (unless it’s someone I know and don’t like on a low level slot - then that’s a whole new game).
I stated one time earlier in this thread I’d have no problem being ganked on a low level slot - but that doesn’t mean I myself partake in such. You’ve just always got to be aware that people like that are out there unfortunately.
I understand that it could be frustrating to be CONTINUALLY hunted by someone higher leveled then you just because he enjoys it.
But I honestly don’t think that it would be worth to eliminate an interesting feature just for the behaviour of some individual with peculiar tastes.
In all the time I spent playing this happened very few times and honestly, just changing the server resolved the problem.
^ agreed you’re more likely to be ganked at a higher level (140) iwel to you

skill issue
Fair, very fair - I just wish the game would prevent high levels being able to gank lower level players. A level gap thing, for example, would help out greatly.
True true, a PvP enabler based on level gap could solve a lot of problems, instead of a fixed one at 50.
It’d be nice if an idea or suggestion of something similar could be brought to the attention of the dev team, if it hasn’t already.
Didn’t we have this whole discussion were you told me you had self-control issues and you were going to try and be better because you know you take things too far and end up being far too hostile for little to no reason?
We’re right back where we started, I am disappointed in you, no progress has been made.
If you want to be a stereotypical leaderboard clan leader so badly, go ahead, I guess.
